一、「在埸」。林前16:17 腓2:12 （与ἀπουσία相反）。ἡ π. τοῦ σώματος ἀσθενής 身临面对，却是软弱无力，即当他出现时，显得软弱，林后10:10 。

二、「来临，出现」。

A. 用于人，普通用法，林后7:6,7 。ἡ ἐμὴ π. πάλιν πρὸς ὑμᾶς我再到你们那里去，腓1:26 。

B. 术语性的特别用法：用于基督（及敌基督）。π.当作术语用法是从两方面发展的。一方面是宗教用法是指隐藏的「神」，用他的能力来显明他的同在；或作在异端的庆典中庆贺幽灵的出现。另一方面，是正式的用辞，用于高位份者的驾临，特别用于君王或统治者下乡访问。这两方面的术语性用法有很接近的意思，甚至彼此融会贯通。
