17:1 Now1161 when they had passed through1353 Amphipolis0295 and2532 Apollonia0624, they came2064 to1519 Thessalonica2332, where3699 was2258 a synagogue4864 of the Jews2453:
17:2 And1161 Paul3972, as2596 his manner was1486, went in1525 unto4314 them0846, and2532-1909 three5140 sabbath4521 days reasoned1256 with them0846 out of0575 the scriptures1124,
17:3 Opening1272 and2532 alleging3908, that3754 Christ5547 must needs1163 have suffered3958, and2532 risen again0450 from1537 the dead3498; and2532 that3754 this3778 Jesus2424, whom3739 I1473 preach2605 unto you5213, is2076 Christ5547.
17:4 And2532 some5100 of1537 them0846 believed3982, and2532 consorted4345 with Paul3972 and2532 Silas4609; and5037 of the devout4576 Greeks1672 a great4183 multitude4128, and5037 of the chief4413 women1135 not3756 a few3641.
17:5 But1161 the Jews2453 which believed not0544, moved with envy2206-2532, took unto them4355 certain5100 lewd4190 fellows0435 of the baser sort0060, and2532 gathered a company3792, and set all2350 the city4172 on an uproar2350, and5037 assaulted2186 the house3614 of Jason2394, and sought2212 to bring0071 them0846 out1519 to the people1218.
17:6 And1161 when they found2147 them0846 not3361, they drew4951 Jason2394 and2532 certain5100 brethren0080 unto1909 the rulers of the city4173, crying0994-3754, These3778 that have turned0387 the world3625 upside down0387 are come3918 hither1759 also2532;
17:7 Whom3739 Jason2394 hath received5264: and2532 these3778 all3956 do4238 contrary0561 to the decrees1378 of Caesar2541, saying3004 that there is1511 another2087 king0935, {one} Jesus2424.
17:8 And1161 they troubled5015 the people3793 and2532 the rulers of the city4173, when they heard0191 these things5023.

17:12 Therefore3767-3303 many4183 of1537 them0846 believed4100; also2532 of honourable2158 women1135 which3588 were Greeks1674, and2532 of men0435, not3756 a few3641.
17:13 But1161 when5613 the Jews2453 of0575 Thessalonica2332 had knowledge1097 that3754-2532 the word3056 of God2316 was preached2605 of5259 Paul3972 at1722 Berea0960, they came2064 thither also2546, and stirred up4531 the people3793.
17:14 And1161 then5119 immediately2112 the brethren0080 sent away1821 Paul3972 to go4198 as it were5613 to1909 the sea2281: but1161-5037 Silas4609 and2532 Timotheus5095 abode5278 there1563 still5278.

17:19 And5037 they took1949 him0846, and brought him0071 unto1909 Areopagus0697, saying3004, May1410 we know1097 what5101 this3778 new2537 doctrine1322, whereof5259 thou4675 speakest2980, {is}?
17:20 For1063 thou bringest1533 certain5100 strange things3579 to1519 our2257 ears0189: we would1014 know1097 therefore3767 what5101 these things5023 mean0302-2309-1511.

17:24 God2316 that made4160 the world2889 and2532 all things3956 therein1722-0846, seeing that he3778 is5225 Lord2962 of heaven3772 and2532 earth1093, dwelleth2730 not3756 in1722 temples3485 made with hands5499;
17:25 Neither3761 is worshipped2323 with5259 men's0444 hands5495, as though he needed4326 any thing5100, seeing he0846 giveth1325 to all3956 life2222, and2532 breath4157, and2596 all things3956;
