25:1 Now3767 when Festus5347 was come1910 into the province1885, after3326 three5140 days2250 he ascended0305 from0575 Caesarea2542 to1519 Jerusalem2414.
25:2 Then1161 the high priest0749 and2532 the chief4413 of the Jews2453 informed1718 him0846 against2596 Paul3972, and2532 besought3870 him0846,
25:3 And desired0154 favour5485 against2596 him0846, that3704 he would send for3343 him0846 to1519 Jerusalem2419, laying4160 wait1747 in2596 the way3598 to kill0337 him0846.
25:4 But3303-3767 Festus5347 answered0611, that Paul3972 should be kept5083 at1722 Caesarea2542, and1161 that he himself1438 would3195 depart1607-1722 shortly5034 {thither}.
25:5 Let them therefore3767, said5346 he, which among1722 you5213 are able1415, go down with4782 {me}, and accuse2723 this0846 man0435, if1536 there be2076 any wickedness1536 in1722 him5129.
25:6 And1161 when he had tarried1304 among1722 them0846 more4119 than2228 ten1176 days2250, he went down2597 unto1519 Caesarea2542; and the next day1887 sitting2523 on1909 the judgment seat0968 commanded2753 Paul3972 to be brought0071.
25:7 And1161 when he0846 was come3854, the Jews2453 which came down2597 from0575 Jerusalem2414 stood round about4026, and2532 laid5342 many4183 and grievous0926 complaints0157 against2596 Paul3972, which3739 they could2480 not3756 prove0584.
25:8 While he answered0626 for himself0846, Neither3754-3777 against1519 the law3551 of the Jews2453, neither3777 against1519 the temple2411, nor yet3777 against1519 Caesar2541, have I offended0264 any thing at all5100.
25:9 But1161 Festus5347, willing2309 to do2698 the Jews2453 a pleasure5485, answered0611 Paul3972, and said2036, Wilt thou2309 go up0305 to1519 Jerusalem2414, and there1563 be judged2919 of4012 these things5130 before1909 me1700?
25:10 Then1161 said2036 Paul3972, I stand1510-2476 at1909 Caesar's2541 judgment seat0968, where3757 I3165 ought1163 to be judged2919: to the Jews2453 have I done0091 no3762 wrong0091, as5613-2532 thou4771 very well2566 knowest1921.
25:11 For1063 if1487-3303 I be an offender0091, or2532 have committed4238 any thing5100 worthy0514 of death2288, I refuse3868 not3756 to die0599: but1161 if1487 there be2076 none3762 of these things3739 whereof these3778 accuse2723 me3450, no man3762 may1410 deliver5483 me3165 unto them0846. I appeal unto1941 Caesar2541.
25:12 Then5119 Festus5347, when he had conferred4814 with3326 the council4824, answered0611, Hast thou appealed unto1941 Caesar2541? unto1909 Caesar2541 shalt thou go4198.
25:13 And1161 after1230 certain5100 days2250 king0935 Agrippa0067 and2532 Bernice0959 came2658 unto1519 Caesarea2542 to salute0782 Festus5347.
25:14 And1161 when5613 they had been1304 there1563 many4119 days2250, Festus5347 declared0394 Paul's3972 cause2596 unto the king0935, saying3004, There is2076 a certain5100 man0435 left2641 in bonds1198 by5259 Felix5344:
25:15 About4012 whom3739, when1096 I3450 was1096 at1519 Jerusalem2414, the chief priests0749 and2532 the elders4245 of the Jews2453 informed1718 {me}, desiring0154 {to have} judgment1349 against2596 him0846.
25:16 To4314 whom3739 I answered0611-3754, It is2076 not3756 the manner1485 of the Romans4514 to deliver5483 any5100 man0444 to1519 die0684, before4250 that2228 he which is accused2723 have2192 the accusers2725 face to face2596-4383-5037, and have2983 licence5117 to answer for himself0627 concerning4012 the crime laid against him1462.
25:17 Therefore3767, when they0846 were come4905 hither1759, without4160 any3367 delay0311 on the morrow1836 I sat2523 on1909 the judgment seat0968, and commanded2753 the man0435 to be brought forth0071.
25:18 Against4012 whom3739 when the accusers2725 stood up2476, they brought2018 none3762 accusation0156 of such things as3739 I1473 supposed5282:
25:19 But1161 had2192 certain5100 questions2213 against4314 him0846 of4012 their own2398 superstition1175, and2532 of4012 one5100 Jesus2424, which was dead2348, whom3739 Paul3972 affirmed5335 to be alive2198.
25:20 And1161 because I1473 doubted0639 of1519 such5127 manner4012 of questions2214, I asked3004 {him} whether1487 he would1014 go4198 to1519 Jerusalem2419, and there2546 be judged2919 of4012 these matters5130.

25:24 And2532 Festus5347 said5346, King0935 Agrippa0067, and2532 all3956 men0435 which3588 are here present4840 with us2254, ye see2334 this man5126, about4012 whom3739 all3956 the multitude4128 of the Jews2453 have dealt1793 with me3427, both5037 at1722 Jerusalem2414, and2532 {also} here1759, crying1916 that he ought1163 not3361 to live2198 any longer3371.
25:25 But1161 when I1473 found2638 that he0846 had committed4238 nothing3367 worthy0514 of death2288, and2532-1161 that he himself0846 hath appealed5127 to1941 Augustus4575, I have determined2919 to send3992 him0846.
25:26 Of4012 whom3739 I have2192 no3756 certain0804 thing5100 to write1125 unto my lord2962.
