15:1 And2532 certain men5100 which came down2718 from0575 Judaea2449 taught1321 the brethren0080, {and said},3754 Except3362 ye be circumcised4059 after the manner1485 of Moses3475, ye cannot3756-1410 be saved4982.
15:2 When therefore3767 Paul3972 and2532 Barnabas0921 had1096 no3756 small3641 dissension4714 and2532 disputation4803 with4314 them0846, they determined5021 that Paul3972 and2532 Barnabas0921, and2532 certain5100 other0243 of1537 them0846, should go up0305 to1519 Jerusalem2419 unto4314 the apostles0652 and2532 elders4245 about4012 this5127 question2213.
15:3 And3303-3767 being brought on their way4311 by5259 the church1577, they passed through1330 Phenice5403 and2532 Samaria4540, declaring1555 the conversion1995 of the Gentiles1484: and2532 they caused4160 great3173 joy5479 unto all3956 the brethren0080.
15:4 And1161 when they were come3854 to1519 Jerusalem2419, they were received0588 of5259 the church1577, and2532 {of} the apostles0652 and2532 elders4245, and5037 they declared0312 all things3745 that God2316 had done4160 with3326 them0846.
15:5 But1161 there rose up1817 certain5100 of0575 the sect0139 of the Pharisees5330 which believed4100, saying3004, That3754 it was needful1163 to circumcise4059 them0846, and5037 to command3853 {them} to keep5083 the law3551 of Moses3475.

15:9 And2532 put1252 no3762 difference1252 between3342-5037 us2257 and2532 them0846, purifying2511 their0846 hearts2588 by faith4102.
15:10 Now3568 therefore3767 why5101 tempt ye3985 God2316, to put2007 a yoke2218 upon1909 the neck5137 of the disciples3101, which3739 neither3777 our2257 fathers3962 nor3777 we2249 were able2480 to bear0941?
15:11 But0235 we believe4100 that through1223 the grace5485 of the Lord2962 Jesus2424 Christ5547 we shall be saved4982, even2596-3739 as5158 they2548.
15:12 Then1161 all3956 the multitude4128 kept silence4601, and2532 gave audience0191 to Barnabas0921 and2532 Paul3972, declaring1834 what3745 miracles4592 and2532 wonders5059 God2316 had wrought4160 among1722 the Gentiles1484 by1223 them0846.
15:13 And1161 after3326 they had held4601 their0846 peace4601, James2385 answered0611, saying3004, Men0435 {and} brethren0080, hearken0191 unto me3450:
15:14 Simeon4826 hath declared1834 how2531 God2316 at the first4412 did visit1980 the Gentiles1484, to take2983 out of1537 them a people2992 for1909 his0846 name3686.
15:15 And2532 to this5129 agree4856 the words3056 of the prophets4396; as2531 it is written1125,
15:16 After3326 this5023 I will return0390, and2532 will build again0456 the tabernacle4633 of David1138, which3588 is fallen down4098; and2532 I will build again0456 the ruins2679 thereof0846, and2532 I will set0461 it0846 up0461:
15:17 That3704-0302 the residue2645 of men0444 might seek after1567 the Lord2962, and2532 all3956 the Gentiles1484, upon1909 whom3739 my3450 name3686 is called1941-1909-0846, saith3004 the Lord2962, who3588 doeth4160 all3956 these things5023.
15:18 Known1110 unto God2316 are2076 all3956 his0846 works2041 from0575 the beginning of the world0165.
15:19 Wherefore1352 my1473 sentence is2919, that we trouble3926 not3361 them, which3588 from among0575 the Gentiles1484 are turned1994 to1909 God2316:
15:20 But0235 that we write1989 unto them0846, that they abstain0567 from0575 pollutions0234 of idols1497, and2532 {from} fornication4202, and2532 {from} things strangled4156, and2532 {from} blood0129.
15:21 For1063 Moses3475 of1537 old0744 time1074 hath2192 in every2596 city4172 them that preach2784 him0846, being read0314 in1722 the synagogues4864 every2596-3956 sabbath day4521.
15:22 Then5119 pleased it1380 the apostles0652 and2532 elders4245, with4862 the whole3650 church1577, to send3992 chosen1586 men0435 of1537 their own company0846 to1519 Antioch0490 with4862 Paul3972 and2532 Barnabas0921; {namely}, Judas2455 surnamed1941 Barsabas0923, and2532 Silas4609, chief2233 men0435 among1722 the brethren0080:
15:23 And they wrote1125 {letters} by1223 them5495-0846 after this manner3592; The apostles0652 and2532 elders4245 and2532 brethren0080 {send} greeting5463 unto the brethren0080 which3588 are of1537 the Gentiles1484 in2596 Antioch0490 and2532 Syria4947 and2532 Cilicia2791:
15:24 Forasmuch as1894 we have heard0191, that3754 certain5100 which went out1831 from1537 us2257 have troubled5015 you5209 with words3056, subverting0384 your5216 souls5590, saying3004, {Ye must} be circumcised4059, and2532 keep5083 the law3551: to whom3739 we gave1291 no3756 {such} commandment1291:
15:25 It seemed good1380 unto us2254, being assembled1096 with one accord3661, to send3992 chosen1586 men0435 unto4314 you5209 with4862 our2257 beloved0027 Barnabas0921 and2532 Paul3972,
15:26 Men0444 that have hazarded3860 their0846 lives5590 for5228 the name3686 of our2257 Lord2962 Jesus2424 Christ5547.
15:27 We have sent0649 therefore3767 Judas2455 and2532 Silas4609, who0846 shall0518 also2532 tell0518 {you} the same things0846 by1223 mouth3056.
15:28 For1063 it seemed good1380 to the Holy0040 Ghost4151, and2532 to us2254, to lay upon2007 you5213 no3367 greater4119 burden0922 than4133 these5130 necessary things1876;
15:29 That ye abstain0567 from meats offered to idols1494, and2532 from blood0129, and2532 from things strangled4156, and2532 from fornication4202: from1537 which3739 if ye keep1301 yourselves1438, ye shall do4238 well2095. Fare ye well4517.
15:30 So3303-3767 when they were dismissed0630, they came2064 to1519 Antioch0490: and2532 when they had gathered4863 the multitude4128 together4863, they delivered1929 the epistle1992:
15:31 {Which} when1161 they had read0314, they rejoiced5463 for1909 the consolation3874.
15:32 And Judas2455 and2532 Silas4609, being5607 prophets4396 also2532 themselves0846, exhorted3870 the brethren0080 with1223 many4183 words3056, and2532 confirmed1991 {them}.
15:33 And1161 after they had tarried4160 {there} a space5550, they were let go0630 in3326 peace1515 from0575 the brethren0080 unto4314 the apostles0652.
15:34 Notwithstanding1161 it pleased1380 Silas4609 to abide1961 there0847 still1961.

15:36 And1161 some5100 days2250 after3326 Paul3972 said2036 unto4314 Barnabas0921-1211, Let us go again1994 and visit1980 our2257 brethren0080 in2596 every3956 city4172 where1722-3739 we have preached2605 the word3056 of the Lord2962, {and see} how4459 they do2192.
15:37 And1161 Barnabas0921 determined1011 to take with them4838 John2491, whose surname was2564 Mark3138.
15:38 But1161 Paul3972 thought0515 not3361 good0515 to take4838 him5126 with them4838, who3588 departed0868 from0575 them0846 from0575 Pamphylia3828, and2532 went4905 not3361 with them0846 to1519 the work2041.
15:39 And3767 the contention3948 was1096 so sharp3948 between them0846, that5620 they departed asunder0673 one from the other0575-0240: and so5037 Barnabas0921 took3880 Mark3138, and sailed1602 unto1519 Cyprus2954;
15:40 And1161 Paul3972 chose1951 Silas4609, and departed1831, being recommended3860 by5259 the brethren0080 unto the grace5485 of God2316.
15:41 And1161 he went through1330 Syria4947 and2532 Cilicia2791, confirming1991 the churches1577.
