一、「字母」（利19:28 ）。路23:38 公认经文; 林后3:7 加6:11 。

二、「文件，一篇文章」。虽指单本，多为复数形态（斯8:5 ）。

A. 「信函，书信」，徒28:21 。

B. 「借据」。（参βιβλίον－SG975在启5:1 ）路16:6,7 。

C. 「著作，书籍」。（斯6:1 ）指摩西五经，约5:47 。指一般的旧约：ἱερὰ γράμματα旧约，提后3:15 （因此字在表达上有技巧上之特性，故不需加冠词；参罗1:2 罗16:26 彼后1:20 ）。指律法的字面正确型态：罗2:27 。反于灵：罗2:29 罗7:6 林后3:6 。
