18:1 And1161 he spake3004-2532 a parable3850 unto them0846-4314 {to this end}, that men ought1163 always3842 to pray4336, and2532 not3361 to faint1573;
18:2 Saying3004, There was2258 in1722 a5100 city4172 a5100 judge2923, which feared5399 not3361 God2316, neither2532-3361 regarded1788 man0444:
18:3 And1161 there was2258 a widow5503 in1722 that1565 city4172; and2532 she came2064 unto4314 him0846, saying3004, Avenge1556 me3165 of0575 mine3450 adversary0476.
18:4 And2532 he would2309 not3756 for1909 a while5550: but1161 afterward5023-3326 he said2036 within1722 himself1438, Though1499 I fear5399 not3756 God2316, nor2532-3756 regard1788 man0444;
18:5 Yet1065 because1223 this5026 widow5503 troubleth3930-2873 me3427, I will avenge1556 her0846, lest3363 by1519 her continual5056 coming2064 she weary5299 me3165.
18:6 And1161 the Lord2962 said2036, Hear0191 what5101 the unjust0093 judge2923 saith3004.
18:7 And1161 shall1557 not3364 God2316 avenge4160-1557 his own0846 elect1588, which3588 cry0994 day2250 and2532 night3571 unto4314 him0846, though2532 he bear long3114 with1909 them0846?
18:8 I tell3004 you5213 that3754 he will4160 avenge1557 them0846 speedily5034-1722. Nevertheless4133 when0687 the Son5207 of man0444 cometh2064, shall he find2147 faith4102 on1909 the earth1093?
18:9 And1161 he spake2036-2532 this5026 parable3850 unto4314 certain5100 which3588 trusted3982 in1909 themselves1438 that3754 they were1526 righteous1342, and2532 despised1848 others3062:
18:10 Two1417 men0444 went up0305 into1519 the temple2411 to pray4336; the one1520 a Pharisee5330, and2532 the other2087 a publican5057.
18:11 The Pharisee5330 stood2476 and prayed4336 thus5023 with4314 himself1438, God2316, I thank2168 thee4671, that3754 I am1510 not3756 as5618 other3062 men0444 {are}, extortioners0727, unjust0094, adulterers3432, or2228 even2532 as5613 this3778 publican5057.
18:12 I fast3522 twice1364 in the week4521, I give tithes0586 of all3956 that3745 I possess2932.
18:13 And2532 the publican5057, standing2476 afar off3113, would2309 not3756 lift up1869 so much as3761 {his} eyes3788 unto1519 heaven3772, but0235 smote5180 upon1519 his0846 breast4738, saying3004, God2316 be merciful2433 to me3427 a sinner0268.
18:14 I tell3004 you5213, this man3778 went down2597 to1519 his0846 house3624 justified1344 {rather} than2228 the other1565: for3754 every one3956 that exalteth5312 himself1438 shall be abased5013; and1161 he that humbleth5013 himself1438 shall be exalted5312.
18:15 And1161 they brought4374 unto him0846 also2532 infants1025, that2443 he would touch0680 them0846: but1161 when {his} disciples3101 saw1492 {it}, they rebuked2008 them0846.
18:16 But1161 Jesus2424 called4341 them0846 {unto him}, and said2036, Suffer0863 little children3813 to come2064 unto4314 me3165, and2532 forbid2967 them0846 not3361: for1063 of such5108 is2076 the kingdom0932 of God2316.
18:17 Verily0281 I say3004 unto you5213, Whosoever3739 shall1209 not3362 receive1209 the kingdom0932 of God2316 as5613 a little child3813 shall1525 in no wise3364 enter1525 therein1519-0846.
18:18 And2532 a certain5100 ruler0758 asked1905 him0846, saying3004, Good0018 Master1320, what5101 shall I do4160 to inherit2816 eternal0166 life2222?
18:19 And1161 Jesus2424 said2036 unto him0846, Why5101 callest thou3004 me3165 good0018? none3762 {is} good0018, save1508 one1520, {that is}, God2316.
18:20 Thou knowest1492 the commandments1785, Do3431 not3361 commit adultery3431, Do5407 not3361 kill5407, Do2813 not3361 steal2813, Do5576 not3361 bear false witness5576, Honour5091 thy4675 father3962 and2532 thy4675 mother3384.
18:21 And1161 he said2036, All3956 these5023 have I kept5442 from1537 my3450 youth3503 up.
18:22 Now1161 when Jesus2424 heard0191 these things5023, he said2036 unto him0846, Yet2089 lackest3007 thou4671 one1520 thing: sell4453 all3956 that3745 thou hast2192, and2532 distribute1239 unto the poor4434, and2532 thou shalt have2192 treasure2344 in1722 heaven3772: and2532 come1204, follow0190 me3427.
18:23 And1161 when he heard0191 this5023, he was1096 very sorrowful4036: for1063 he was2258 very4970 rich4145.
18:24 And1161 when Jesus2424 saw1492 that he0846 was1096 very sorrowful4036, he said2036, How4459 hardly1423 shall they1525 that have2192 riches5536 enter1525 into1519 the kingdom0932 of God2316!
18:25 For1063 it is2076 easier2123 for a camel2574 to go1525 through1223 a needle's4476 eye5168, than2228 for a rich man4145 to enter1525 into1519 the kingdom0932 of God2316.
18:26 And1161 they that heard0191 {it} said2036, Who5101 then2532 can be1410 saved4982?
18:27 And1161 he said2036, The things which are impossible0102 with3844 men0444 are2076 possible1415 with3844 God2316.
18:28 Then1161 Peter4074 said2036, Lo2400, we2249 have left0863 all3956, and2532 followed0190 thee4671.
18:29 And1161 he said2036 unto them0846, Verily0281 I say3004 unto you5213-3754, There is2076 no man3762 that3739 hath left0863 house3614, or2228 parents1118, or2228 brethren0080, or2228 wife1135, or2228 children5043, for1752 the kingdom0932 of God's2316 sake1752,
18:30 Who3739 shall0618 not3364 receive0618 manifold more4179 in1722 this5129 present time2540, and2532 in1722 the world0165 to come2064 life2222 everlasting0166.
18:31 Then1161 he took3880 {unto him} the twelve1427, and said2036 unto4314 them0846, Behold2400, we go up0305 to1519 Jerusalem2414, and2532 all things3956 that are written1125 by1223 the prophets4396 concerning the Son5207 of man0444 shall be accomplished5055.
18:32 For1063 he shall be delivered3860 unto the Gentiles1484, and2532 shall be mocked1702, and2532 spitefully entreated5195, and2532 spitted on1716:
