二、「理智，心智」，指生活中与物质相对的层面，促使人思考，计划的较高精神部份。ὁ νόμος τοῦ νοός μου我心中的律（νοῦς＝ὁ ἔσω ἄνθρωπος里面的人，罗7:22 ）罗7:23 。τῷ ν.（反于σάρξ肉体）δουλεύειν νόμῳ θεοῦ心思给神之律作奴仆，※ 罗7:25 。

三、「心意，态度，思考方式」，指所有心理和道德状况的总和。

A. 指每个人都具有的：μεταμορφοῦσθαι τῇ ἀνακαινώσει τοῦ ν.藉著心意的更新而改变过来，⊙ 罗12:2 ，此乃基督徒原有的νοῦς被受洗时领受的圣灵渗透，改变的结果。意味相同者－ἀνανεοῦσθαι τῷ πνεύματι τοῦ ν. ὑμῶν 要将你们灵的心志改换一新，弗4:23 （以弗所书之一特色为同义字重叠）。用于外邦人－παρέδωκεν αὐτοὺς ὁ θεὸς εἰς ἀδόκιμον ν.神就任凭他们存邪僻的心，罗1:28 。 τὰ ἔθνη περιπατεῖ ἐν ματαιότητι τοῦ νοὸς αὐτῶν外邦人存虚妄的心行事，弗4:17 。用于正在错误中的人－ εἰκῇ φυσιούμενος ὑπὸ τοῦ ν. τῆς σαρκὸς αὐτοῦ 随著自己的欲心，无故的自高自大（字义：极其自负）西2:18 。κατεφθαρμένος τὸν ν.心地坏了，提后3:8 ；或διεφθαρμένος τὸν ν. 提前6:5 。μεμίανται αὐτῶν καὶ ὁ νοῦς καὶ ἡ συνείδησις连他们的心地和天良也都污秽了，多1:15 。
