16:1 And1161 he said3004 also2532 unto4314 his0846 disciples3101, There was2258 a certain5100 rich4145 man0444, which3739 had2192 a steward3623; and2532 the same3778 was accused1225 unto him0846 that5613 he had wasted1287 his0846 goods5224.
16:2 And2532 he called5455 him0846, and said2036 unto him0846, How5101 is it that I hear0191 this5124 of4012 thee4675? give0591 an account3056 of thy4675 stewardship3622; for1063 thou mayest be1410 no3756 longer2089 steward3621.
16:3 Then1161 the steward3623 said2036 within1722 himself1438, What5101 shall I do4160? for3754 my3450 lord2962 taketh away0851 from0575 me1700 the stewardship3622: I cannot3756-2480 dig4626; to beg1871 I am ashamed0153.
16:4 I am resolved1097 what5101 to do4160, that2443, when3752 I am put out3179 of the stewardship3622, they may receive1209 me3165 into1519 their0846 houses3624.
16:5 So2532 he called4341 every1538 one1520 of his1438 lord's2962 debtors5533 {unto him}, and said3004 unto the first4413, How much4214 owest thou3784 unto my3450 lord2962?
16:6 And1161 he said2036, An hundred1540 measures0943 of oil1637. And2532 he said2036 unto him0846, Take1209 thy4675 bill1121, and2532 sit down2523 quickly5030, and write1125 fifty4004.
16:7 Then1899 said he2036 to another2087, And1161 how much4214 owest3784 thou4771? And1161 he said2036, An hundred1540 measures2884 of wheat4621. And2532 he said3004 unto him0846, Take1209 thy4675 bill1121, and2532 write1125 fourscore3589.
16:8 And2532 the lord2962 commended1867 the unjust0093 steward3623, because3754 he had done4160 wisely5430: for3754 the children5207 of this5127 world0165 are1526 in1519 their1438 generation1074 wiser5429 than5228 the children5207 of light5457.
16:9 And I2504 say3004 unto you5213, Make4160 to yourselves1438 friends5384 of1537 the mammon3126 of unrighteousness0093; that2443, when3752 ye fail1587, they may receive1209 you5209 into1519 everlasting0166 habitations4633.
16:10 He that is faithful4103 in1722 that which is least1646 is2076 faithful4103 also2532 in1722 much4183: and2532 he that is unjust0094 in1722 the least1646 is2076 unjust0094 also2532 in1722 much4183.
16:11 If1487 therefore3767 ye have1096 not3756 been1096 faithful4103 in1722 the unrighteous0094 mammon3126, who5101 will commit4100 to your5213 trust4100 the true0228 {riches}?
16:12 And2532 if1487 ye have1096 not3756 been1096 faithful4103 in1722 that which is another man's0245, who5101 shall give1325 you5213 that which is your own5212?
16:13 No3762 servant3610 can1410 serve1398 two1417 masters2962: for1063 either2228 he will hate3404 the one1520, and2532 love0025 the other2087; or else2228 he will hold0472 to the one1520, and2532 despise2706 the other2087. Ye cannot3756-1410 serve1398 God2316 and2532 mammon3126.
16:14 And1161 the Pharisees5330 also2532, who were5225 covetous5366, heard0191 all3956 these things5023: and2532 they derided1592 him0846.
16:15 And2532 he said2036 unto them0846, Ye5210 are2075 they which justify1344 yourselves1438 before1799 men0444; but1161 God2316 knoweth1097 your5216 hearts2588: for3754 that which is highly esteemed5308 among1722 men0444 is2076 abomination0946 in the sight1799 of God2316.
16:16 The law3551 and2532 the prophets4396 {were} until2193 John2491: since0575 that time5119 the kingdom0932 of God2316 is preached2097, and2532 every man3956 presseth0971 into1519 it0846.
16:17 And1161 it is2076 easier2123 for heaven3772 and2532 earth1093 to pass3928, than2228 one3391 tittle2762 of the law3551 to fail4098.
16:18 Whosoever3956 putteth away0630 his0846 wife1135, and2532 marrieth1060 another2087, committeth adultery3431: and2532 whosoever3956 marrieth1060 her that is put away0630 from0575 {her} husband0435 committeth adultery3431.
16:19 1161There was2258 a certain5100 rich4145 man0444, which2532 was clothed1737 in purple4209 and2532 fine linen1040, and fared2165 sumptuously2988 every2596 day2250:
16:20 And1161 there was2258 a certain5100 beggar4434 named3686 Lazarus2976, which3739 was laid0906 at4314 his0846 gate4440, full of sores1669,
16:21 And2532 desiring1937 to be fed5526 with0575 the crumbs5589 which3588 fell4098 from0575 the rich man's4145 table5132: moreover0235-2532 the dogs2965 came2064 and licked0621 his0846 sores1668.

16:25 But1161 Abraham0011 said2036, Son5043, remember3415 that3754 thou4771 in1722 thy4675 lifetime2222 receivedst0618 thy4675 good things0018, and2532 likewise3668 Lazarus2976 evil things2556: but1161 now3568-3592 he is comforted3870, and1161 thou4771 art tormented3600.
16:26 And2532 beside1909 all3956 this5125, between3342 us2257 and2532 you5216 there is4741 a great3173 gulf5490 fixed4741: so that3704 they which would2309 pass1224 from hence1782 to4314 you5209 cannot3361-1410; neither3366 can they pass1276 to4314 us2248, that {would come} from thence1564.
16:27 Then1161 he said2036, I pray2065 thee4571 therefore3767, father3962, that2443 thou wouldest send3992 him0846 to1519 my3450 father's3962 house3624:
16:28 For1063 I have2192 five4002 brethren0080; that3704 he may testify1263 unto them0846, lest3363 they0846 also2532 come2064 into1519 this5126 place5117 of torment0931.
16:29 Abraham0011 saith3004 unto him0846, They have2192 Moses3475 and2532 the prophets4396; let them hear0191 them0846.
16:30 And1161 he said2036, Nay3780, father3962 Abraham0011: but0235 if1437 one5100 went4198 unto4314 them0846 from0575 the dead3498, they will repent3340.
16:31 And1161 he said2036 unto him0846, If1487 they hear0191 not3756 Moses3475 and2532 the prophets4396, neither3761 will they be persuaded3982, though1437 one5100 rose0450 from1537 the dead3498.
