12:1 Now the LORD3068 had said0559 unto Abram0087, Get thee out3212 of thy country0776, and from thy kindred4138, and from thy father's0001 house1004, unto a land0776 that I will shew7200 thee:
12:2 And I will make of thee6213 a great1419 nation1471, and I will bless1288 thee, and make1431 thy name8034 great1431; and thou shalt be a blessing1293:
12:3 And I will bless1288 them that bless1288 thee, and curse0779 him that curseth7043 thee: and in thee shall all families4940 of the earth0127 be blessed1288.
12:4 So Abram0087 departed3212, as the LORD3068 had spoken1696 unto him; and Lot3876 went3212 with him: and Abram0087 {was} seventy7657-8141 and five2568 years8141 old1121 when he departed3318 out of Haran2771.
12:5 And Abram0087 took3947 Sarai8297 his wife0802, and Lot3876 his brother's0251 son1121, and all their substance7399 that they had gathered7408, and the souls5315 that they had gotten6213 in Haran2771; and they went forth3318 to go3212 into the land0776 of Canaan3667; and into the land0776 of Canaan3667 they came0935.
12:6 And Abram0087 passed through5674 the land0776 unto the place4725 of Sichem7927, unto the plain0436 of Moreh4176. And the Canaanite3669 {was} then0227 in the land0776.

12:9 And Abram0087 journeyed5265, going on1980 still5265 toward the south5045.
12:10 And there was a famine7458 in the land0776: and Abram0087 went down3381 into Egypt4714 to sojourn1481 there; for the famine7458 {was} grievous3515 in the land0776.
12:11 And it came to pass, when0834 he was come near7126 to enter0935 into Egypt4714, that he said0559 unto Sarai8297 his wife0802, Behold2009 now4994, I know3045 that thou {art} a fair3303 woman0802 to look upon4758:
12:12 Therefore it shall come to pass, when the Egyptians4713 shall see7200 thee, that they shall say0559, This {is} his wife0802: and they will kill2026 me, but they will save thee alive2421.
12:13 Say0559, I pray thee4994, thou {art} my sister0269: that4616 it may be well3190 with me for thy sake; and my soul5315 shall live2421 because of thee1558.
12:14 And it came to pass, that, when Abram0087 was come0935 into Egypt4714, the Egyptians4713 beheld7200 the woman0802 that she {was} very3966 fair3303.
12:15 The princes8269 also of Pharaoh6547 saw7200 her, and commended1984 her before0413 Pharaoh6547: and the woman0802 was taken3947 into Pharaoh's6547 house1004.
12:16 And he entreated3190 Abram0087 well3190 for her sake: and he had sheep6629, and oxen1241, and he asses2543, and menservants5650, and maidservants8198, and she asses0860, and camels1581.

12:18 And Pharaoh6547 called7121 Abram0087, and said0559, What {is} this {that} thou hast done6213 unto me? why didst thou not tell5046 me that she {was} thy wife0802?
12:19 Why saidst thou0559, She {is} my sister0269? so I might have taken3947 her to me to wife0802: now therefore behold thy wife0802, take3947 {her}, and go thy way3212.
12:20 And Pharaoh6547 commanded6680 {his} men0582 concerning him: and they sent him away7971, and his wife0802, and all that he had.
