22:1 And it came to pass after0310 these things1697, that God0430 did tempt5254 Abraham0085, and said0559 unto him, Abraham0085: and he said0559, Behold, {here} I {am}.
22:2 And he said0559, Take now3947 thy son1121, thine only3173 {son} Isaac3327, whom thou lovest0157, and get thee3212 into the land0776 of Moriah4179; and offer him5927 there for a burnt offering5930 upon one0259 of the mountains2022 which I will tell0559 thee of.
22:3 And Abraham0085 rose up early7925 in the morning1242, and saddled2280 his ass2543, and took3947 two8147 of his young men5288 with him, and Isaac3327 his son1121, and clave1234 the wood6086 for the burnt offering5930, and rose up6965, and went3212 unto the place4725 of which God0430 had told0559 him.
22:4 Then on the third7992 day3117 Abraham0085 lifted up5375 his eyes5869, and saw7200 the place4725 afar off7350.
22:5 And Abraham0085 said0559 unto his young men5288, Abide3427 ye here with the ass2543; and I and the lad5288 will go3212 yonder3541 and worship7812, and come again7725 to you.
22:6 And Abraham0085 took3947 the wood6086 of the burnt offering5930, and laid7760 {it} upon Isaac3327 his son1121; and he took3947 the fire0784 in his hand3027, and a knife3979; and they went3212 both8147 of them together3162.
22:7 And Isaac3327 spake0559 unto Abraham0085 his father0001, and said0559, My father0001: and he said0559, Here {am} I, my son1121. And he said0559, Behold the fire0784 and the wood6086: but where {is} the lamb7716 for a burnt offering5930?
22:8 And Abraham0085 said0559, My son1121, God0430 will provide7200 himself a lamb7716 for a burnt offering5930: so they went3212 both of them8147 together3162.
22:9 And they came0935 to the place4725 which God0430 had told0559 him of; and Abraham0085 built1129 an altar4196 there, and laid6186 the wood6086 in order6186, and bound6123 Isaac3327 his son1121, and laid7760 him on the altar4196 upon4605 the wood6086.
22:10 And Abraham0085 stretched forth7971 his hand3027, and took3947 the knife3979 to slay7819 his son1121.
22:11 And the angel4397 of the LORD3068 called7121 unto him out of heaven8064, and said0559, Abraham0085, Abraham0085: and he said0559, Here {am} I.
22:12 And he said0559, Lay7971 not thine hand3027 upon0413 the lad5288, neither do thou6213 any thing3972 unto him: for now6258 I know3045 that thou fearest3373 God0430, seeing thou hast not3808 withheld2820 thy son1121, thine only3173 {son} from me.
22:13 And Abraham0085 lifted up5375 his eyes5869, and looked7200, and behold behind0310 {him} a ram0352 caught0270 in a thicket5442 by his horns7161: and Abraham0085 went3212 and took3947 the ram0352, and offered him up5927 for a burnt offering5930 in the stead8478 of his son1121.
22:14 And Abraham0085 called7121 the name8034 of that place4725 Jehovahjireh3070: as0834 it is said0559 {to} this day3117, In the mount2022 of the LORD3068 it shall be seen7200.
22:15 And the angel4397 of the LORD3068 called7121 unto Abraham0085 out of heaven8064 the second time8145,
22:16 And said0559, By myself have I sworn7650, saith5002 the LORD3068, for because3282-0834 thou hast done6213 this thing1697, and hast not3808 withheld2820 thy son1121, thine only3173 {son}:
22:17 That in blessing1288 I will bless1288 thee, and in multiplying7235 I will multiply7235 thy seed2233 as the stars3556 of the heaven8064, and as the sand2344 which {is} upon the sea3220 shore8193; and thy seed2233 shall possess3423 the gate8179 of his enemies0341;
22:18 And in thy seed2233 shall all the nations1471 of the earth0776 be blessed1288; because0834-6118 thou hast obeyed8085 my voice6963.
22:19 So Abraham0085 returned7725 unto his young men5288, and they rose up6965 and went3212 together3162 to Beersheba0884; and Abraham0085 dwelt3427 at Beersheba0884.
22:20 And it came to pass after0310 these things1697, that it was told5046 Abraham0085, saying0559, Behold, Milcah4435, she hath also born3205 children1121 unto thy brother0251 Nahor5152;
22:21 Huz5780 his firstborn1060, and Buz0938 his brother0251, and Kemuel7055 the father0001 of Aram0758,
22:22 And Chesed3777, and Hazo2375, and Pildash6394, and Jidlaph3044, and Bethuel1328.
22:23 And Bethuel1328 begat3205 Rebekah7259: these eight8083 Milcah4435 did bear3205 to Nahor5152, Abraham's0085 brother0251.
22:24 And his concubine6370, whose name8034 {was} Reumah7208, she bare3205 also Tebah2875, and Gaham1514, and Thahash8477, and Maachah4601.
