2:1 Thus the heavens8064 and the earth0776 were finished3615, and all the host of them6635.
2:2 And on the seventh7637 day3117 God0430 ended3615 his work4399 which he had made6213; and he rested7673 on the seventh7637 day3117 from all his work4399 which he had made6213.
2:3 And God0430 blessed1288 the seventh7637 day3117, and sanctified6942 it: because3588 that in it he had rested7673 from all his work4399 which God0430 created1254 and made6213.
2:4 These0428 {are} the generations8435 of the heavens8064 and of the earth0776 when they were created1254, in the day3117 that the LORD3068 God0430 made6213 the earth0776 and the heavens8064,
2:5 And every plant7880 of the field7704 before2962 it was in the earth0776, and every herb6212 of the field7704 before2962 it grew6779: for3588 the LORD3068 God0430 had not3808 caused it to rain4305 upon the earth0776, and {there was} not0369 a man0120 to till5647 the ground0127.

2:7 And the LORD3068 God0430 formed3335 man0120 {of} the dust6083 of4480 the ground0127, and breathed5301 into his nostrils0639 the breath5397 of life2416; and man0120 became a living2416 soul5315.
2:8 And the LORD3068 God0430 planted5193 a garden1588 eastward6924 in Eden5731; and there8033 he put7760 the man0120 whom0834 he had formed3335.
2:9 And out4480 of the ground0127 made6779 the LORD3068 God0430 to grow6779 every tree6086 that is pleasant2530 to the sight4758, and good2896 for food3978; the tree6086 of life2416 also in the midst8432 of the garden1588, and the tree6086 of knowledge1847 of good2896 and evil7451.
2:10 And a river5104 went out3318 of Eden5731 to water8248 the garden1588; and from thence it was parted6504, and became into four0702 heads7218.
2:11 The name8034 of the first0259 {is} Pison6376: that1931 {is} it which compasseth5437 the whole land0776 of Havilah2341, where0834 {there is} gold2091;
2:12 And the gold2091 of that1931 land0776 {is} good2896: there {is} bdellium0916 and the onyx7718 stone0068.
2:13 And the name8034 of the second8145 river5104 {is} Gihon1521: the same {is} it that compasseth5437 the whole land0776 of Ethiopia3568.
2:14 And the name8034 of the third7992 river5104 {is} Hiddekel2313: that {is} it which goeth toward1980 the east6926 of Assyria0804. And the fourth7243 river5104 {is} Euphrates6578.
2:15 And the LORD3068 God0430 took3947 the man0120, and put him3240 into the garden1588 of Eden5731 to dress5647 it and to keep8104 it.
2:16 And the LORD3068 God0430 commanded6680 the man0120, saying0559, Of every tree6086 of the garden1588 thou mayest freely0398 eat0398:
2:17 But of the tree6086 of the knowledge1847 of good2896 and evil7451, thou shalt not eat0398 of it: for in the day3117 that thou eatest0398 thereof thou shalt surely4191 die4191.
2:18 And the LORD3068 God0430 said0559, {It is} not good2896 that the man0120 should be1961 alone; I will make6213 him an help meet5828 for him.
2:19 And out of the ground0127 the LORD3068 God0430 formed3335 every beast2416 of the field7704, and every fowl5775 of the air8064; and brought0935 {them} unto Adam0120 to see7200 what he would call7121 them: and whatsoever Adam0120 called7121 every living2416 creature5315, that1931 {was} the name thereof8034.
2:20 And Adam0120 gave7121 names8034 to all cattle0929, and to the fowl5775 of the air8064, and to every beast2416 of the field7704; but for Adam0120 there was not found4672 an help meet5828 for him.
2:21 And the LORD3068 God0430 caused5307 a deep sleep8639 to fall5307 upon Adam0121, and he slept3462: and he took3947 one0259 of his ribs6763, and closed up5462 the flesh1320 instead thereof;
2:22 And the rib6763, which the LORD3068 God0430 had taken3947 from man0120, made1129 he a woman0802, and brought0935 her unto the man0120.
2:23 And Adam0120 said0559, This2063 {is} now6471 bone6106 of my bones6106, and flesh1320 of my flesh1320: she2063 shall be called7121 Woman0802, because she2063 was taken3947 out of Man0376.
2:24 Therefore3651 shall a man0376 leave5800 his father0001 and his mother0517, and shall cleave1692 unto his wife0802: and they shall be one0259 flesh1320.
2:25 And they were both8147 naked6174, the man0120 and his wife0802, and were not ashamed0954.
