47:1 Then Joseph3130 came0935 and told5046 Pharaoh6547, and said0559, My father0001 and my brethren0251, and their flocks6629, and their herds1241, and all that they have, are come out0935 of the land0776 of Canaan3667; and, behold, they {are} in the land0776 of Goshen1657.
47:2 And he took3947 some7097 of his brethren0251, {even} five2568 men0582, and presented3322 them unto6440 Pharaoh6547.
47:3 And Pharaoh6547 said0559 unto his brethren0251, What {is} your occupation4639? And they said0559 unto Pharaoh6547, Thy servants5650 {are} shepherds7462-6629, both we, {and} also our fathers0001.
47:4 They said0559 moreover unto Pharaoh6547, For to sojourn1481 in the land0776 are we come0935; for thy servants5650 have no pasture4829 for their flocks6629; for the famine7458 {is} sore3515 in the land0776 of Canaan3667: now therefore, we pray thee, let thy servants5650 dwell3427 in the land0776 of Goshen1657.
47:5 And Pharaoh6547 spake0559 unto Joseph3130, saying0559, Thy father0001 and thy brethren0251 are come0935 unto thee:
47:6 The land0776 of Egypt4714 {is} before thee6440; in the best4315 of the land0776 make3427 thy father0001 and brethren0251 to dwell3427; in the land0776 of Goshen1657 let them dwell3427: and if thou knowest3045-3426 {any} men0582 of activity2428 among them, then make them7760 rulers8269 over my cattle4735.
47:7 And Joseph3130 brought in0935 Jacob3290 his father0001, and set him5975 before6440 Pharaoh6547: and Jacob3290 blessed1288 Pharaoh6547.
47:8 And Pharaoh6547 said0559 unto Jacob3290, How4100 old2416-3117-8141 {art} thou?
47:9 And Jacob3290 said0559 unto Pharaoh6547, The days3117 of the years8141 of my pilgrimage4033 {are} an hundred3967 and thirty7970 years8141: few4592 and evil7451 have the days3117 of the years8141 of my life2416 been, and have not attained5381 unto the days3117 of the years8141 of the life2416 of my fathers0001 in the days3117 of their pilgrimage4033.
47:10 And Jacob3290 blessed1288 Pharaoh6547, and went out3318 from before6440 Pharaoh6547.
47:11 And Joseph3130 placed3427 his father0001 and his brethren0251, and gave5414 them a possession0272 in the land0776 of Egypt4714, in the best4315 of the land0776, in the land0776 of Rameses7486, as Pharaoh6547 had commanded6680.
47:12 And Joseph3130 nourished3557 his father0001, and his brethren0251, and all his father's0001 household1004, with bread3899, according6310 to {their} families2945.
47:13 And {there was} no bread3899 in all the land0776; for the famine7458 {was} very3966 sore3515, so that the land0776 of Egypt4714 and {all} the land0776 of Canaan3667 fainted3856 by reason6440 of the famine7458.
47:14 And Joseph3130 gathered up3950 all the money3701 that was found4672 in the land0776 of Egypt4714, and in the land0776 of Canaan3667, for the corn7668 which they bought7666: and Joseph3130 brought0935 the money3701 into Pharaoh's6547 house1004.
47:15 And when money3701 failed8552 in the land0776 of Egypt4714, and in the land0776 of Canaan3667, all the Egyptians4714 came0935 unto Joseph3130, and said0559, Give3051 us bread3899: for why should we die4191 in thy presence? for the money3701 faileth0656.
47:16 And Joseph3130 said0559, Give3051 your cattle4735; and I will give5414 you for your cattle4735, if money3701 fail0656.
47:17 And they brought0935 their cattle4735 unto Joseph3130: and Joseph3130 gave5414 them bread3899 {in exchange} for horses5483, and for the flocks6629, and for the cattle4735 of the herds1241, and for the asses2543: and he fed5095 them with bread3899 for all their cattle4735 for that year8141.
47:18 When that year8141 was ended8552, they came0935 unto him the second8145 year8141, and said0559 unto him, We will not hide3582 {it} from my lord0113, how that our money3701 is spent8552; my lord0113 also hath0413 our herds4735 of cattle0929; there is not ought left7604 in the sight6440 of my lord0113, but our bodies1472, and our lands0127:
47:19 Wherefore shall we die4191 before thine eyes5869, both we and our land0127? buy7069 us and our land0127 for bread3899, and we and our land0127 will be servants5650 unto Pharaoh6547: and give5414 {us} seed2233, that we may live2421, and not die4191, that the land0127 be not desolate3456.
47:20 And Joseph3130 bought7069 all the land0127 of Egypt4714 for Pharaoh6547; for the Egyptians4714 sold4376 every man0376 his field7704, because the famine7458 prevailed2388 over them: so the land0776 became Pharaoh's6547.
47:21 And as for the people5971, he removed5674 them to cities5892 from {one} end7097 of the borders1366 of Egypt4714 even to the {other} end7097 thereof.
47:22 Only the land0127 of the priests3548 bought he7069 not; for the priests3548 had a portion2706 {assigned them} of Pharaoh6547, and did eat0398 their portion2706 which Pharaoh6547 gave5414 them: wherefore they sold4376 not their lands0127.
47:23 Then Joseph3130 said0559 unto the people5971, Behold, I have bought7069-0853 you this day3117 and your land0127 for Pharaoh6547: lo1887, {here is} seed2233 for you, and ye shall sow2232 the land0127.
47:24 And it shall come to pass in the increase8393, that ye shall give5414 the fifth2549 {part} unto Pharaoh6547, and four0702 parts3027 shall be your own, for seed2233 of the field7704, and for your food0400, and for them of your households1004, and for food0398 for your little ones2945.
47:25 And they said0559, Thou hast saved our lives2421: let us find4672 grace2580 in the sight5869 of my lord0113, and we will be Pharaoh's6547 servants5650.
47:26 And Joseph3130 made7760 it a law2706 over the land0127 of Egypt4714 unto this day3117, {that} Pharaoh6547 should have the fifth2569 {part}; except7535 the land0127 of the priests3548 only, {which} became not Pharaoh's6547.
47:27 And Israel3478 dwelt3427 in the land0776 of Egypt4714, in the country0776 of Goshen1657; and they had possessions0270 therein, and grew6509, and multiplied7235 exceedingly3966.
47:28 And Jacob3290 lived2421 in the land0776 of Egypt4714 seventeen6240-7651 years8141: so the whole age2416-3117 of Jacob3290 was an hundred3967 forty0705-8141 and seven7651 years8141.
47:29 And the time3117 drew nigh7126 that Israel3478 must die4191: and he called7121 his son1121 Joseph3130, and said0559 unto him, If now I have found4672 grace2580 in thy sight5869, put7760, I pray thee, thy hand3027 under my thigh3409, and deal6213 kindly2617 and truly0571 with me; bury6912 me not, I pray thee, in Egypt4714:
47:30 But I will lie7901 with my fathers0001, and thou shalt carry5375 me out of Egypt4714, and bury6912 me in their buryingplace6900. And he said0559, I will do6213 as thou hast said1697.
47:31 And he said0559, Swear7650 unto me. And he sware7650 unto him. And Israel3478 bowed7812 himself upon the bed's4296 head7218.
