16:1 These things5023 have I spoken2980 unto you5213, that3363 ye should4624 not3363 be offended4624.
16:2 They shall put4160 you5209 out of the synagogues0656: yea0235, the time5610 cometh2064, that2443 whosoever3956 killeth0615 you5209 will think1380 that he doeth4374 God2316 service2999.
16:3 And2532 these things5023 will they do4160 unto you5213, because3754 they have1097 not3756 known1097 the Father3962, nor3761 me1691.
16:4 But0235 these things5023 have I told2980 you5213, that2443 when3752 the time5610 shall come2064, ye may remember3421 that3754 I1473 told2036 you5213 of them0846. And1161 these things5023 I said2036 not3756 unto you5213 at1537 the beginning0746, because3754 I was2252 with3326 you5216.
16:5 But1161 now3568 I go my way5217 to4314 him that sent3992 me3165; and2532 none3762 of1537 you5216 asketh2065 me3165, Whither4226 goest thou5217?
16:6 But0235 because3754 I have said2980 these things5023 unto you5213, sorrow3077 hath filled4137 your5216 heart2588.
16:7 Nevertheless0235 I1473 tell3004 you5213 the truth0225; It is expedient4851 for you5213 that2443 I1473 go away0565: for1063 if3362 I go0565 not3362 away0565, the Comforter3875 will2064 not3756 come2064 unto4314 you5209; but1161 if1437 I depart4198, I will send3992 him0846 unto4314 you5209.
16:8 And2532 when he is come2064, he1565 will reprove1651 the world2889 of4012 sin0266, and2532 of4012 righteousness1343, and2532 of4012 judgment2920:
16:9 Of4012 sin0266-3303, because3754 they believe4100 not3756 on1519 me1691;
16:10 Of4012-1161 righteousness1343, because3754 I go5217 to4314 my3450 Father3962, and2532 ye see2334 me3165 no more3765;
16:11 Of4012-1161 judgment2920, because3754 the prince0758 of this5127 world2889 is judged2919.

16:20 Verily0281, verily0281, I say3004 unto you5213, That3754 ye5210 shall weep2799 and2532 lament2354, but1161 the world2889 shall rejoice5463: and1161 ye5210 shall be sorrowful3076, but0235 your5216 sorrow3077 shall be turned1096 into1519 joy5479.
16:21 A woman1135 when3752 she is in travail5088 hath2192 sorrow3077, because3754 her0846 hour5610 is come2064: but1161 as soon as3752 she is delivered1080 of the child3813, she remembereth3421 no more3765 the anguish2347, for1223 joy5479 that3754 a man0444 is born1080 into1519 the world2889.
