33:1 And Jacob3290 lifted up5375 his eyes5869, and looked7200, and, behold, Esau6215 came0935, and with him four0702 hundred3967 men0376. And he divided2673 the children3206 unto Leah3812, and unto Rachel7354, and unto the two8147 handmaids8198.
33:2 And he put7760 the handmaids8198 and their children3206 foremost7223, and Leah3812 and her children3206 after0314, and Rachel7354 and Joseph3130 hindermost0314.
33:3 And he passed over5674 before them6440, and bowed himself7812 to the ground0776 seven7651 times6471, until he came near5066 to his brother0251.
33:4 And Esau6215 ran7323 to meet him7125, and embraced2263 him, and fell5307 on his neck6677, and kissed him5401: and they wept1058.
33:5 And he lifted up5375 his eyes5869, and saw7200 the women0802 and the children3206; and said0559, Who {are} those0428 with thee? And he said0559, The children3206 which God0430 hath graciously given2603 thy servant5650.
33:6 Then the handmaidens8198 came near5066, they and their children3206, and they bowed themselves7812.
33:7 And Leah3812 also with her children3206 came near5066, and bowed themselves7812: and after0310 came5066 Joseph3130 near5066 and Rachel7354, and they bowed7812 themselves.
33:8 And he said0559, What {meanest} thou by all this drove4264 which I met6298? And he said0559, {These are} to find4672 grace2580 in the sight5869 of my lord0113.
33:9 And Esau6215 said0559, I have3426 enough7227, my brother0251; keep that thou hast unto thyself.
33:10 And Jacob3290 said0559, Nay, I pray thee, if now I have found4672 grace2580 in thy sight5869, then receive3947 my present4503 at my hand3027: for therefore I have seen7200 thy face6440, as though I had seen7200 the face6440 of God0430, and thou wast pleased with me7521.
33:11 Take3947, I pray thee, my blessing1293 that is brought0935 to thee; because God0430 hath dealt graciously with me2603, and because3605 I have3426 enough3605. And he urged6484 him, and he took3947 {it}.
33:12 And he said0559, Let us take our journey5265, and let us go3212, and I will go3212 before thee.
33:13 And he said0559 unto him, My lord0113 knoweth3045 that the children3206 {are} tender7390, and the flocks6629 and herds1241 with young5763 {are} with me: and if men should overdrive1849 them one0259 day3117, all the flock6629 will die4191.
33:14 Let my lord0113, I pray thee, pass over5674 before6440 his servant5650: and I will lead on5095 softly0328, according as7272 the cattle4399 that goeth before me6440 and the children3206 be able to endure7272, until I come0935 unto my lord0113 unto Seir8165.
33:15 And Esau6215 said0559, Let me now leave3322 with thee {some} of the folk5971 that {are} with me. And he said0559, What4100 needeth it? let me find4672 grace2580 in the sight5869 of my lord0113.
33:16 So Esau6215 returned7725 that day3117 on his way1870 unto Seir8165.
33:17 And Jacob3290 journeyed5265 to Succoth5523, and built1129 him an house1004, and made6213 booths5521 for his cattle4735: therefore the name8034 of the place4725 is called7121 Succoth5523.
33:18 And Jacob3290 came0935 to Shalem8004, a city5892 of Shechem7927, which {is} in the land0776 of Canaan3667, when he came0935 from Padanaram6307; and pitched his tent2583 before6440 the city5892.
33:19 And he bought7069 a parcel2513 of a field7704, where he had spread5186 his tent0168, at the hand3027 of the children1121 of Hamor2544, Shechem's7927 father0001, for an hundred3967 pieces of money7192.
33:20 And he erected5324 there an altar4196, and called it7121 Elelohe-Israel0415.
