21:1 And the LORD3068 visited6485 Sarah8283 as he had said0559, and the LORD3068 did6213 unto Sarah8283 as he had spoken1696.
21:2 For Sarah8283 conceived2029, and bare3205 Abraham0085 a son1121 in his old age2208, at the set time4150 of which God0430 had spoken1696 to him.
21:3 And Abraham0085 called7121 the name8034 of his son1121 that was born3205 unto him, whom Sarah8283 bare3205 to him, Isaac3327.
21:4 And Abraham0085 circumcised4135 his son1121 Isaac3327 being eight8083 days3117 old1121, as God0430 had commanded6680 him.
21:5 And Abraham0085 was an hundred3967 years8141 old1121, when his son1121 Isaac3327 was born3205 unto him.
21:6 And Sarah8283 said0559, God0430 hath made6213 me to laugh6712, {so that} all that hear8085 will laugh6711 with me.
21:7 And she said0559, Who would have said4448 unto Abraham0085, that Sarah8283 should have given children1121 suck3243? for I have born3205 {him} a son1121 in his old age2208.
21:8 And the child3206 grew1431, and was weaned1580: and Abraham0085 made6213 a great1419 feast4960 the {same} day3117 that Isaac3327 was weaned1580.
21:9 And Sarah8283 saw7200 the son1121 of Hagar1904 the Egyptian4713, which she had born3205 unto Abraham0085, mocking6711.
21:10 Wherefore she said0559 unto Abraham0085, Cast out1644 this bondwoman0519 and her son1121: for the son1121 of this bondwoman0519 shall not be heir3423 with my son1121, {even} with Isaac3327.
21:11 And the thing1697 was very3966 grievous3415 in Abraham's0085 sight5869 because0182 of his son1121.
21:12 And God0430 said0559 unto Abraham0085, Let it not be grievous3415 in thy sight5869 because of the lad5288, and because of thy bondwoman0519; in all that Sarah8283 hath said0559 unto thee, hearken8085 unto her voice6963; for in Isaac3327 shall thy seed2233 be called7121.
21:13 And also of the son1121 of the bondwoman0519 will I make7760 a nation1471, because he {is} thy seed2233.
21:14 And Abraham0085 rose up early7925 in the morning1242, and took3947 bread3899, and a bottle2573 of water4325, and gave5414 {it} unto Hagar1904, putting7760 {it} on her shoulder7926, and the child3206, and sent her away7971: and she departed3212, and wandered8582 in the wilderness4057 of Beersheba0884.
21:15 And the water4325 was spent3615 in4480 the bottle2573, and she cast7993 the child3206 under one0259 of the shrubs7880.
21:16 And she went3212, and sat her down3427 over against5048 {him} a good way off7368, as it were a bowshot2909-7198: for she said0559, Let me not see7200 the death4194 of the child3206. And she sat3427 over against {him}, and lift up5375 her voice6963, and wept1058.
21:17 And God0430 heard8085 the voice6963 of the lad5288; and the angel4397 of God0430 called7121 to Hagar1904 out of heaven8064, and said0559 unto her, What aileth thee, Hagar1904? fear3372 not; for God0430 hath heard8085 the voice6963 of the lad5288 where he {is}.
21:18 Arise6965, lift up5375 the lad5288, and hold2388 him in thine hand3027; for I will make7760 him a great1419 nation1471.
21:19 And God0430 opened6491 her eyes5869, and she saw7200 a well0875 of water4325; and she went3212, and filled4390 the bottle2573 with water4325, and gave8248 the lad5288 drink8248.
21:20 And God0430 was with the lad5288; and he grew1431, and dwelt3427 in the wilderness4057, and became an archer7235-7199.
21:21 And he dwelt3427 in the wilderness4057 of Paran6290: and his mother0517 took3947 him a wife0802 out of the land0776 of Egypt4714.
21:22 And it came to pass at that time6256, that Abimelech0040 and Phichol6369 the chief captain8269 of his host6635 spake0559 unto Abraham0085, saying0559, God0430 {is} with thee in all that thou doest6213:
21:23 Now therefore swear7650 unto me here2008 by God0430 that thou wilt not deal falsely8266 with me, nor with my son5209, nor with my son's son5220: {but} according to the kindness2617 that I have done6213 unto thee, thou shalt do6213 unto me, and to the land0776 wherein thou hast sojourned1481.
21:24 And Abraham0085 said0559, I will swear7650.
21:25 And Abraham0085 reproved3198 Abimelech0040 because0182 of a well0875 of water4325, which Abimelech's0040 servants5650 had violently taken away1497.
21:26 And Abimelech0040 said0559, I wot3045 not who hath done6213 this thing1697: neither3808 didst thou tell5046 me, neither3808 yet heard8085 I {of it}, but1115 to day3117.
21:27 And Abraham0085 took3947 sheep6629 and oxen1241, and gave5414 them unto Abimelech0040; and both of them8147 made3772 a covenant1285.
21:28 And Abraham0085 set5324 seven7651 ewe lambs3535 of the flock6629 by themselves.
21:29 And Abimelech0040 said0559 unto Abraham0085, What2008 {mean} these seven7651 ewe lambs3535 which thou hast set5324 by themselves?
21:30 And he said0559, For {these} seven7651 ewe lambs3535 shalt thou take3947 of my hand3027, that5668 they may be a witness5713 unto me, that I have digged2658 this well0875.
21:31 Wherefore he called7121 that place4725 Beersheba0884; because there they sware7650 both of them8147.
21:32 Thus they made3772 a covenant1285 at Beersheba0884: then Abimelech0040 rose up6965, and Phichol6369 the chief captain8269 of his host6635, and they returned7725 into the land0776 of the Philistines6430.
21:33 And {Abraham} planted5193 a grove0815 in Beersheba0884, and called7121 there on the name8034 of the LORD3068, the everlasting5769 God0410.
21:34 And Abraham0085 sojourned1481 in the Philistines'6430 land0776 many7227 days3117.
