7:1 And it came to pass in the days3117 of Ahaz0271 the son1121 of Jotham3147, the son1121 of Uzziah5818, king4428 of Judah3063, {that} Rezin7526 the king4428 of Syria0758, and Pekah6492 the son1121 of Remaliah7425, king4428 of Israel3478, went up5927 toward Jerusalem3389 to war4421 against it, but could3201 not prevail3898 against it.
7:2 And it was told5046 the house1004 of David1732, saying0559, Syria0758 is confederate5117 with Ephraim0669. And his heart3824 was moved5128, and the heart3824 of his people5971, as the trees6086 of the wood3293 are moved5128 with6440 the wind7307.
7:3 Then said0559 the LORD3068 unto Isaiah3470, Go forth3318 now to meet7125 Ahaz0271, thou, and Shearjashub7610 thy son1121, at the end7097 of the conduit8585 of the upper5945 pool1295 in the highway4546 of the fuller's3526 field7704;
7:4 And say0559 unto him, Take heed8104, and be quiet8252; fear3372 not, neither be fainthearted7401-3824 for the two8147 tails2180 of these smoking6226 firebrands0181, for the fierce2750 anger0639 of Rezin7526 with Syria0758, and of the son1121 of Remaliah7425.
7:5 Because Syria0758, Ephraim0669, and the son1121 of Remaliah7425, have taken evil7451 counsel3289 against thee, saying0559,
7:6 Let us go up5927 against Judah3063, and vex6973 it, and let us make a breach1234 therein for us, and set4427 a king4428 in the midst8432 of it, {even} the son1121 of Tabeal2870:
7:7 Thus3541 saith0559 the Lord0136 GOD3069, It shall not stand6965, neither shall it come to pass.
7:8 For the head7218 of Syria0758 {is} Damascus1834, and the head7218 of Damascus1834 {is} Rezin7526; and within threescore8346 and five2568 years8141 shall Ephraim0669 be broken2865, that it be not a people5971.
7:9 And the head7218 of Ephraim0669 {is} Samaria8111, and the head7218 of Samaria8111 {is} Remaliah's7425 son1121. If ye will not believe0539, surely ye shall not be established0539.
7:10 Moreover the LORD3068 spake1696 again3254 unto Ahaz0271, saying0559,
7:11 Ask7592 thee a sign0226 of the LORD3068 thy God0430; ask7592 it either in the depth6009, or in the height1361 above4605.
7:12 But Ahaz0271 said0559, I will not ask7592, neither will I tempt5254-0853 the LORD3068.
7:13 And he said0559, Hear8085 ye now, O house1004 of David1732; {Is it} a small thing4592 for you to weary3811 men0582, but will ye weary3811 my God0430 also?
7:14 Therefore the Lord0136 himself shall give5414 you a sign0226; Behold, a virgin5959 shall conceive2030, and bear3205 a son1121, and shall call7121 his name8034 Immanuel0410-6005.
7:15 Butter2529 and honey1706 shall he eat0398, that he may know3045 to refuse3988 the evil7451, and choose0977 the good2896.
7:16 For before the child5288 shall know3045 to refuse3988 the evil7451, and choose0977 the good2896, the land0127 that thou abhorrest6973 shall be6440 forsaken5800 of both8147 her kings4428.

7:22 And it shall come to pass, for the abundance7230 of milk2461 {that} they shall give6213 he shall eat0398 butter2529: for butter2529 and honey1706 shall every one eat0398 that is left3498 in7130 the land0776.
7:23 And it shall come to pass in that day3117, {that} every place4725 shall be, where there were a thousand0505 vines1612 at a thousand0505 silverlings3701, it shall {even} be for briers8068 and thorns7898.
7:24 With arrows2671 and with bows7198 shall {men} come0935 thither; because all the land0776 shall become briers8068 and thorns7898.
7:25 And {on} all hills2022 that shall be digged5737 with the mattock4576, there shall not come thither0935 the fear3374 of briers8068 and thorns7898: but it shall be for the sending forth4916 of oxen7794, and for the treading4823 of lesser cattle7716.
