53:1 Who hath believed0539 our report8052? and to whom is the arm2220 of the LORD3068 revealed1540?
53:2 For he shall grow up5927 before6440 him as a tender plant3126, and as a root8328 out of a dry6723 ground0776: he hath no form8389 nor comeliness1926; and when we shall see7200 him, {there is} no beauty4758 that we should desire2530 him.
53:3 He is despised0959 and rejected2310 of men0376; a man0376 of sorrows4341, and acquainted3045 with grief2483: and we hid as it were4564 {our} faces6440 from him; he was despised0959, and we esteemed2803 him not.
53:4 Surely0403 he hath borne5375 our griefs2483, and carried5445 our sorrows4341: yet we did esteem2803 him stricken5060, smitten5221 of God0430, and afflicted6031.
53:5 But he {was} wounded2490 for our transgressions6588, {he was} bruised1792 for our iniquities5771: the chastisement4148 of our peace7965 {was} upon him; and with his stripes2250 we are healed7495.
