24:1 Behold, the LORD3068 maketh the earth0776 empty1238, and maketh it waste1110, and turneth5753 it upside down6440, and scattereth abroad6327 the inhabitants3427 thereof.
24:2 And it shall be, as with the people5971, so with the priest3548; as with the servant5650, so with his master0113; as with the maid8198, so with her mistress1404; as with the buyer7069, so with the seller4376; as with the lender3867, so with the borrower3867; as with the taker of usury5383, so0834 with the giver of usury5378 to him.
24:3 The land0776 shall be utterly1238 emptied1238, and utterly0962 spoiled0962: for the LORD3068 hath spoken1696 this word1697.
24:4 The earth0776 mourneth0056 {and} fadeth away5034, the world8398 languisheth0535 {and} fadeth away5034, the haughty4791 people5971 of the earth0776 do languish0535.
24:5 The earth0776 also is defiled2610 under the inhabitants3427 thereof; because they have transgressed5674 the laws8451, changed2498 the ordinance2706, broken6565 the everlasting5769 covenant1285.
24:6 Therefore hath the curse0423 devoured0398 the earth0776, and they that dwell3427 therein are desolate0816: therefore the inhabitants3427 of the earth0776 are burned2787, and few4213 men0582 left7604.
24:7 The new wine8492 mourneth0056, the vine1612 languisheth0535, all the merryhearted8056-3820 do sigh0584.
