1:2 Hear8085, O heavens8064, and give ear0238, O earth0776: for the LORD3068 hath spoken1696, I have nourished1431 and brought up7311 children1121, and they have rebelled6586 against me.
1:3 The ox7794 knoweth3045 his owner7069, and the ass2543 his master's1167 crib0018: {but} Israel3478 doth not know3045, my people5971 doth not consider0995.
1:4 Ah1945 sinful2398 nation1471, a people5971 laden3515 with iniquity5771, a seed2233 of evildoers7489, children1121 that are corrupters7843: they have forsaken5800-0853 the LORD3068, they have provoked5006-0853 the Holy One6918 of Israel3478 unto anger5006, they are gone away2114 backward0268.
1:5 Why should ye be stricken5221 any more? ye will revolt5627 more and more3254: the whole head7218 is sick2483, and the whole heart3824 faint1742.
1:6 From the sole3709 of the foot7272 even unto the head7218 {there is} no soundness4974 in it; {but} wounds6482, and bruises2250, and putrifying2961 sores4347: they have not been closed2115, neither bound up2280, neither mollified7401 with ointment8081.

1:27 Zion6726 shall be redeemed6299 with judgment4941, and her converts7725 with righteousness6666.
1:28 And the destruction7667 of the transgressors6586 and of the sinners2400 {shall be} together3162, and they that forsake5800 the LORD3068 shall be consumed3615.
1:29 For they shall be ashamed0954 of the oaks0352 which ye have desired2530, and ye shall be confounded2659 for the gardens1593 that ye have chosen0977.
