一、字义：带τινά遮盖某人，路23:30 ，可能有特别的含意，「埋葬」。带τί τινι 用东西覆盖在某物上（民4:12 ）。用于船只－καλύπτεσθαι ὑπὸ τῶν κυμάτων 被波浪掩盖，太8:24 （诗78:53 出15:10 ）。

二、喻意：

A. 「遮掩，不被看见」。πλῆθος ἁμαρτιῶν许多的罪（参诗85:2 ）彼前4:8 雅5:20 （见箴10:12 ）。
