And so {did they} with the oxen1241. 35:13 And they roasted1310 the passover6453 with fire0784 according to the ordinance4941: but the {other} holy6944 {offerings} sod1310 they in pots5518, and in caldrons1731, and in pans6745, and divided {them} speedily7323 among all the people1121-5971. 35:14 And afterward0310 they made ready3559 for themselves, and for the priests3548: because the priests3548 the sons1121 of Aaron0175 {were busied} in offering5927 of burnt offerings5930 and the fat2459 until night3915; therefore the Levites3881 prepared3559 for themselves, and for the priests3548 the sons1121 of Aaron0175. 35:15 And the singers7891 the sons1121 of Asaph0623 {were} in their place4612, according to the commandment4687 of David1732, and Asaph0623, and Heman1968, and Jeduthun3038 the king's4428 seer2374; and the porters7778 {waited} at every gate8179; they might not depart5493 from their service5656; for their brethren0251 the Levites3881 prepared3559 for them. 35:16 So all the service5656 of the LORD3068 was prepared3559 the same day3117, to keep6213 the passover6453, and to offer5927 burnt offerings5930 upon the altar4196 of the LORD3068, according to the commandment4687 of king4428 Josiah2977. 35:17 And the children1121 of Israel3478 that were present4672 kept6213 the passover6453 at that time6256, and the feast2282 of unleavened bread4682 seven7651 days3117. 35:18 And there was no passover6453 like3644 to that kept6213 in Israel3478 from the days3117 of Samuel8050 the prophet5030; neither did6213 all the kings4428 of Israel3478 keep6213 such a passover6453 as Josiah2977 kept6213, and the priests3548, and the Levites3881, and all Judah3063 and Israel3478 that were present4672, and the inhabitants3427 of Jerusalem3389. 35:19 In the eighteenth8083-6240 year8141 of the reign4438 of Josiah2977 was this passover6453 kept6213. 35:20 After0310 all this, when Josiah2977 had prepared3559 the temple1004, Necho5224 king4428 of Egypt4714 came up5927 to fight3898 against Carchemish3751 by Euphrates6578: and Josiah2977 went out3318 against7125 him. 35:21 But he sent7971 ambassadors4397 to him, saying0559, What have I to do with thee, thou king4428 of Judah3063? {I come} not against thee this day3117, but against the house1004 wherewith I have war4421: for God0430 commanded0559 me to make haste0926: forbear2308 thee from {meddling with} God0430, who {is} with me, that he destroy7843 thee not. 35:22 Nevertheless Josiah2977 would not turn5437 his face6440 from him, but disguised2664 himself, that he might fight3898 with him, and hearkened8085 not unto the words1697 of Necho5224 from the mouth6310 of God0430, and came0935 to fight3898 in the valley1237 of Megiddo4023. 35:23 And the archers3384 shot3384 at king4428 Josiah2977; and the king4428 said0559 to his servants5650, Have me away5674; for I am sore3966 wounded2470. 35:24 His servants5650 therefore took5674 him out of that chariot4818, and put7392 him in the second4932 chariot7393 that he had; and they brought3212 him to Jerusalem3389, and he died4191, and was buried6912 in {one of} the sepulchres6913 of his fathers0001. And all Judah3063 and Jerusalem3389 mourned0056 for Josiah2977. 35:25 And Jeremiah3414 lamented6969 for Josiah2977: and all the singing men7891 and the singing women7891 spake0559 of Josiah2977 in their lamentations7015 to this day3117, and made5414 them an ordinance2706 in Israel3478: and, behold, they {are} written3789 in the lamentations7015. 35:26 Now the rest3499 of the acts1697 of Josiah2977, and his goodness2617, according to {that which was} written3789 in the law8451 of the LORD3068, 35:27 And his deeds1697, first7223 and last0314, behold, they {are} written3789 in the book5612 of the kings4428 of Israel3478 and Judah3063.
