And Jehoram3088 his son1121 reigned4427 in his stead. 21:2 And he had brethren0251 the sons1121 of Jehoshaphat3092, Azariah5838, and Jehiel3171, and Zechariah2148, and Azariah5838, and Michael4317, and Shephatiah8203: all these {were} the sons1121 of Jehoshaphat3092 king4428 of Israel3478. 21:3 And their father0001 gave5414 them great7227 gifts4979 of silver3701, and of gold2091, and of precious things4030, with fenced4694 cities5892 in Judah3063: but the kingdom4467 gave5414 he to Jehoram3088; because he {was} the firstborn1060. 21:4 Now when Jehoram3088 was risen up6965 to the kingdom4467 of his father0001, he strengthened2388 himself, and slew2026 all his brethren0251 with the sword2719, and {divers} also of the princes8269 of Israel3478. 21:5 Jehoram3088 {was} thirty7970 and two8147 years8141 old1121 when he began to reign4427, and he reigned4427 eight8083 years8141 in Jerusalem3389. 21:6 And he walked3212 in the way1870 of the kings4428 of Israel3478, like as did6213 the house1004 of Ahab0256: for he had the daughter1323 of Ahab0256 to wife0802: and he wrought6213 {that which was} evil7451 in the eyes5869 of the LORD3068. 21:7 Howbeit the LORD3068 would0014 not destroy7843 the house1004 of David1732, because of the covenant1285 that he had made3772 with David1732, and as he promised0559 to give5414 a light5216 to him and to his sons1121 for ever3117. 21:8 In his days3117 the Edomites0123 revolted6586 from under the dominion3027 of Judah3063, and made4427 themselves a king4428. 21:9 Then Jehoram3088 went forth5674 with his princes8269, and all his chariots7393 with him: and he rose up6965 by night3915, and smote5221 the Edomites0123 which compassed him in5437, and the captains8269 of the chariots7393. 21:10 So the Edomites0123 revolted6586 from under the hand3027 of Judah3063 unto this day3117. Howbeit they buried6912 him in the city5892 of David1732, but not in the sepulchres6913 of the kings4428.
