16:1 Now Sarai8297 Abram's0087 wife0802 bare3205 him no3808 children3205: and she had an handmaid8198, an Egyptian4713, whose name8034 {was} Hagar1904.
16:2 And Sarai8297 said0559 unto Abram0087, Behold now, the LORD3068 hath restrained me6113 from bearing3205: I pray thee, go in0935 unto my maid8198; it may0194 be that I may obtain children1129 by her. And Abram0087 hearkened8085 to the voice6963 of Sarai8297.
16:3 And Sarai8297 Abram's0087 wife0802 took3947 Hagar1904 her maid8198 the Egyptian4713, after7093 Abram0087 had dwelt3427 ten6235 years8141 in the land0776 of Canaan3667, and gave5414 her to her husband0376 Abram0087 to be his wife0802.

16:14 Wherefore the well0875 was called7121 Beerlahairoi0883-2416; behold, {it is} between Kadesh6946 and Bered1260.
16:15 And Hagar1904 bare3205 Abram0087 a son1121: and Abram0087 called7121 his son's1121 name8034, which Hagar1904 bare3205, Ishmael3458.
16:16 And Abram0087 {was} fourscore8084-8141 and six8337 years8141 old1121, when Hagar1904 bare3205 Ishmael3458 to Abram0087.
