15:1 After0310 these things1697 the word1697 of the LORD3068 came1961 unto Abram0087 in a vision4236, saying0559, Fear3372 not, Abram0087: I {am} thy shield4043, {and} thy exceeding3966 great7235 reward7939.
15:2 And Abram0087 said0559, Lord0136 GOD3069, what wilt thou give5414 me, seeing I go1980 childless6185, and the steward1121-4943 of my house1004 {is} this1931 Eliezer0461 of Damascus1834?
15:3 And Abram0087 said0559, Behold, to me thou hast given5414 no3808 seed2233: and, lo, one born1121 in my house1004 is mine heir3423.
15:4 And, behold, the word1697 of the LORD3068 {came} unto him, saying0559, This shall not be thine heir3423; but he that shall come forth3318 out of thine own bowels4578 shall be thine heir3423.
15:5 And he brought him forth3318 abroad2351, and said0559, Look5027 now toward heaven8064, and tell5608 the stars3556, if thou be able3201 to number5608 them: and he said0559 unto him, So3541 shall thy seed2233 be.
15:6 And he believed0539 in the LORD3068; and he counted2803 it to him for righteousness6666.
15:7 And he said0559 unto him, I {am} the LORD3068 that brought thee out3318 of Ur0218 of the Chaldees3778, to give5414 thee this land0776 to inherit3423 it.
15:8 And he said0559, Lord0136 GOD3069, whereby4100 shall I know3045 that I shall inherit it3423?
15:9 And he said0559 unto him, Take3947 me an heifer5697 of three years old8027, and a she goat5795 of three years old8027, and a ram0352 of three years old8027, and a turtledove8449, and a young pigeon1469.
15:10 And he took3947 unto him all these, and divided1334 them in the midst8432, and laid5414 each0376 piece1335 one against7125 another7453: but the birds6833 divided1334 he not.
15:11 And when the fowls5861 came down3381 upon the carcases6297, Abram0087 drove them away5380.

15:13 And he said0559 unto Abram0087, Know3045 of a surety3045 that thy seed2233 shall be a stranger1616 in a land0776 {that is} not theirs, and shall serve5647 them; and they shall afflict6031 them four0702 hundred3967 years8141;
15:14 And also that nation1471, whom they shall serve5647, will I judge1777: and afterward0310-3651 shall they come out3318 with great1419 substance7399.
15:15 And thou shalt go0935 to thy fathers0001 in peace7965; thou shalt be buried6912 in a good2896 old age7872.
15:16 But in the fourth7243 generation1755 they shall come hither2008 again7725: for the iniquity5771 of the Amorites0567 {is} not yet2008 full8003.
15:17 And it came to pass, that, when the sun8121 went down0935, and it was dark5939, behold a smoking6227 furnace8574, and a burning0784 lamp3940 that passed5674 between0996 those pieces1506.
15:18 In the same1931 day3117 the LORD3068 made3772 a covenant1285 with Abram0087, saying0559, Unto thy seed2233 have I given5414 this land0776, from the river5104 of Egypt4714 unto the great1419 river5104, the river5104 Euphrates6578:
15:19 The Kenites7017, and the Kenizzites7074, and the Kadmonites6935,
15:20 And the Hittites2850, and the Perizzites6522, and the Rephaims7497,
15:21 And the Amorites0567, and the Canaanites3669, and the Girgashites1622, and the Jebusites2983.
