一、「请求：要求」。亦具求情之意味，带τινά为某人：δέσμιον囚犯，可15:6 。π.如与一项邀请同用，则有辞却之意。被动：ἔχε με παρῃτημένον求你准我辞了（参ἔχω－SG2192甲五）路14:18 下，路14:19 ；反身意义－推辞，路14:18 上。

二、「弃绝」。

A. 带人称直接受格：「排斥，拒绝」某人或向某人做某事，来12:25 上，下（听某人）。νεωτέρας χήρας παραιτοῦ 年轻的寡妇（不到六十岁）就可以辞，提前5:11 。 αἱρετικὸν ἄνθρωπον …παραιτοῦ 分门结党的人…要弃绝，多3:10 ；但此处或有「开除，赶出」之意。

B. 带事物直接受格：「排斥，避免」。γραώδεις μύθους παραιτοῦ避免…老妇荒渺的话，提前4:7 。ζητήσεις παραιτοῦ辩论总要避免，提后2:23 。οὐ παραιτοῦμαι τὸ ἀποθανεῖν 就是死我也不辞，徒25:11 。
