17:1 And2532 there came2064 one1520 of1537 the seven2033 angels0032 which3588 had2192 the seven2033 vials5357, and2532 talked2980 with3326 me1700, saying3004 unto me3427, Come hither1204; I will shew1166 unto thee4671 the judgment2917 of the great3173 whore4204 that sitteth2521 upon1909 many4183 waters5204:
17:2 With3326 whom3739 the kings0935 of the earth1093 have committed fornication4203, and2532 the inhabitants2730 of the earth1093 have been made drunk3184 with1537 the wine3631 of her0846 fornication4202.
17:3 So2532 he carried0667 me3165 away0667 in1722 the spirit4151 into1519 the wilderness2048: and2532 I saw1492 a woman1135 sit2521 upon1909 a scarlet coloured2847 beast2342, full of1073 names3686 of blasphemy0988, having2192 seven2033 heads2776 and2532 ten1176 horns2768.
17:4 And2532 the woman1135 was2258 arrayed4016 in purple4209 and2532 scarlet colour2847, and2532 decked5558 with gold5557 and2532 precious5093 stones3037 and2532 pearls3135, having2192 a golden5552 cup4221 in1722 her0846 hand5495 full of1073 abominations0946 and2532 filthiness0168 of her0846 fornication4202:
17:5 And2532 upon1909 her0846 forehead3359 {was} a name3686 written1125, MYSTERY3466, BABYLON0897 THE GREAT3173, THE MOTHER3384 OF HARLOTS4204 AND2532 ABOMINATIONS0946 OF THE EARTH1093.
17:6 And2532 I saw1492 the woman1135 drunken3184 with1537 the blood0129 of the saints0040, and2532 with1537 the blood0129 of the martyrs3144 of Jesus2424: and2532 when I saw1492 her0846, I wondered2296 with great3173 admiration2295.
17:7 And2532 the angel0032 said2036 unto me3427, Wherefore1302 didst thou marvel2296? I1473 will tell2046 thee4671 the mystery3466 of the woman1135, and2532 of the beast2342 that carrieth0941 her0846, which3588 hath2192 the seven2033 heads2776 and2532 ten1176 horns2768.
17:8 The beast2342 that3739 thou sawest1492 was2258, and2532 is2076 not3756; and2532 shall3195 ascend0305 out of1537 the bottomless pit0012, and2532 go5217 into1519 perdition0684: and2532 they that dwell2730 on1909 the earth1093 shall wonder2296, whose3739 names3686 were1125 not3756 written1125 in1909 the book0975 of life2222 from0575 the foundation2602 of the world2889, when they behold0991 the beast2342 that was3748-2258, and2532 is2076 not3756, and yet2539 is2076.
17:9 And here5602 {is} the mind3563 which3588 hath2192 wisdom4678. The seven2033 heads2776 are1526 seven2033 mountains3735, on1909 which0846 the woman1135 sitteth2521-3699.
17:10 And2532 there are1526 seven2033 kings0935: five4002 are fallen4098, and2532 one1520 is2076, {and} the other0243 is2064 not yet3768 come2064; and2532 when3752 he cometh2064, he0846 must1163 continue3306 a short space3641.
17:11 And2532 the beast2342 that3739 was2258, and2532 is2076 not3756, even2532 he0846 is2076 the eighth3590, and2532 is2076 of1537 the seven2033, and2532 goeth5217 into1519 perdition0684.
17:12 And2532 the ten1176 horns2768 which3739 thou sawest1492 are1526 ten1176 kings0935, which3748 have received2983 no3768 kingdom0932 as yet3768; but0235 receive2983 power1849 as5613 kings0935 one3391 hour5610 with3326 the beast2342.
17:13 These3778 have2192 one3391 mind1106, and2532 shall give1239 their1438 power1411 and2532 strength1849 unto the beast2342.
17:14 These3778 shall make war4170 with3326 the Lamb0721, and2532 the Lamb0721 shall overcome3528 them0846: for3754 he is2076 Lord2962 of lords2962, and2532 King0935 of kings0935: and2532 they that are with3326 him0846 {are} called2822, and2532 chosen1588, and2532 faithful4103.
17:15 And2532 he saith3004 unto me3427, The waters5204 which3739 thou sawest1492, where3757 the whore4204 sitteth2521, are1526 peoples2992, and2532 multitudes3793, and2532 nations1484, and2532 tongues1100.
17:16 And2532 the ten1176 horns2768 which3739 thou sawest1492 upon1909 the beast2342, these3778 shall hate3404 the whore4204, and2532 shall make4160 her0846 desolate2049 and2532 naked1131, and2532 shall eat5315 her0846 flesh4561, and2532 burn2618 her0846 with1722 fire4442.
17:17 For1063 God2316 hath put1325 in1519 their0846 hearts2588 to fulfil4160 his0846 will1106, and2532 to agree4160-3391-1106, and2532 give1325 their0846 kingdom0932 unto the beast2342, until0891 the words4487 of God2316 shall be fulfilled5055.
17:18 And2532 the woman1135 which3739 thou sawest1492 is2076 that great3173 city4172, which3588 reigneth2192-0932 over1909 the kings0935 of the earth1093.
