24:1 And when Balaam1109 saw7200 that it pleased5869-2895 the LORD3068 to bless1288 Israel3478, he went1980 not, as at other times6471, to seek7125 for enchantments5173, but he set7896 his face6440 toward the wilderness4057.
24:2 And Balaam1109 lifted up5375 his eyes5869, and he saw7200 Israel3478 abiding7931 {in his tents} according to their tribes7626; and the spirit7307 of God0430 came upon him.
24:3 And he took up5375 his parable4912, and said0559, Balaam1109 the son1121 of Beor1160 hath said5002, and the man1397 whose eyes5869 are open8365 hath said5002:
24:4 He hath said5002, which heard8085 the words0561 of God0410, which saw2372 the vision4236 of the Almighty7706, falling5307 {into a trance}, but having his eyes5869 open1540:
24:5 How goodly2895 are thy tents0168, O Jacob3290, {and} thy tabernacles4908, O Israel3478!
24:6 As the valleys5158 are they spread forth5186, as gardens1593 by the river's side5104, as the trees of lign aloes0174 which the LORD3068 hath planted5193, {and} as cedar trees0730 beside the waters4325.
24:7 He shall pour5140 the water4325 out5140 of his buckets1805, and his seed2233 {shall be} in many7227 waters4325, and his king4428 shall be higher7311 than Agag0090, and his kingdom4438 shall be exalted5375.
24:8 God0410 brought him forth3318 out of Egypt4714; he hath as it were the strength8443 of an unicorn7214: he shall eat up0398 the nations1471 his enemies6862, and shall break1633 their bones6106, and pierce4272 {them} through with his arrows2671.

24:12 And Balaam1109 said0559 unto Balak1111, Spake1696 I not also to thy messengers4397 which thou sentest7971 unto me, saying0559,
24:13 If Balak1111 would give5414 me his house1004 full4393 of silver3701 and gold2091, I cannot3201 go beyond5674 the commandment6310 of the LORD3068, to do6213 {either} good2896 or bad7451 of mine own mind3820; {but} what the LORD3068 saith1696, that will I speak1696?
24:14 And now, behold, I go1980 unto my people5971: come3212 {therefore, and} I will advertise3289 thee what this people5971 shall do6213 to thy people5971 in the latter0319 days3117.
24:15 And he took up5375 his parable4912, and said0559, Balaam1109 the son1121 of Beor1160 hath said5002, and the man1397 whose eyes5869 are open8365 hath said5002:
24:16 He hath said5002, which heard8085 the words0561 of God0410, and knew3045 the knowledge1847 of the most High5945, {which} saw2372 the vision4236 of the Almighty7706, falling5307 {into a trance}, but having his eyes5869 open1540:
24:17 I shall see7200 him, but not now: I shall behold7789 him, but not nigh7138: there shall come1869 a Star3556 out of Jacob3290, and a Sceptre7626 shall rise6965 out of Israel3478, and shall smite4272 the corners6285 of Moab4124, and destroy6979 all the children1121 of Sheth8352-8351.
24:18 And Edom0123 shall be a possession3424, Seir8165 also shall be a possession3424 for his enemies0341; and Israel3478 shall do6213 valiantly2428.
24:19 Out of Jacob3290 shall come he that shall have dominion7287, and shall destroy0006 him that remaineth8300 of the city5892.
24:20 And when he looked7200 on Amalek6002, he took up5375 his parable4912, and said0559, Amalek6002 {was} the first7225 of the nations1471; but his latter0319 end {shall be} that he perish0008 for ever5703.
24:21 And he looked7200 on the Kenites7017, and took up5375 his parable4912, and said0559, Strong0386 is thy dwellingplace4186, and thou puttest7760 thy nest7064 in a rock5553.
24:22 Nevertheless the Kenite7014 shall0518 be wasted1197, until Asshur0804 shall carry thee away captive7617.
24:23 And he took up5375 his parable4912, and said0559, Alas0188, who shall live2421 when God0410 doeth7760 this!
24:24 And ships6716 {shall come} from the coast3027 of Chittim3794, and shall afflict6031 Asshur0804, and shall afflict6031 Eber5677, and he also shall perish0008 for ever5703.
24:25 And Balaam1109 rose up6965, and went3212 and returned7725 to his place4725: and Balak1111 also went1980 his way1870.
