23:1 And Balaam1109 said0559 unto Balak1111, Build1129 me here seven7651 altars4196, and prepare3559 me here seven7651 oxen6499 and seven7651 rams0352.
23:2 And Balak1111 did6213 as Balaam1109 had spoken1696; and Balak1111 and Balaam1109 offered5927 on {every} altar4196 a bullock6499 and a ram0352.
23:3 And Balaam1109 said0559 unto Balak1111, Stand3320 by thy burnt offering5930, and I will go3212: peradventure the LORD3068 will come7136 to meet7125 me: and whatsoever1697 he sheweth7200 me I will tell5046 thee. And he went3212 to an high place8205.
23:4 And God0430 met7136 Balaam1109: and he said0559 unto him, I have prepared6186 seven7651 altars4196, and I have offered5927 upon {every} altar4196 a bullock6499 and a ram0352.
23:5 And the LORD3068 put7760 a word1697 in Balaam's1109 mouth6310, and said0559, Return7725 unto Balak1111, and thus thou shalt speak1696.
23:6 And he returned7725 unto him, and, lo, he stood5324 by his burnt sacrifice5930, he, and all the princes8269 of Moab4124.
23:7 And he took up5375 his parable4912, and said0559, Balak1111 the king4428 of Moab4124 hath brought5148 me from Aram0758, out of the mountains2042 of the east6924, {saying}, Come3212, curse0779 me Jacob3290, and come3212, defy2194 Israel3478.
23:8 How4100 shall I curse5344, whom God0410 hath not cursed6895? or how shall I defy2194, {whom} the LORD3068 hath not defied2194?
23:9 For from the top7218 of the rocks6697 I see7200 him, and from the hills1389 I behold7789 him: lo, the people5971 shall dwell7931 alone0910, and shall not be reckoned2803 among the nations1471.
23:10 Who can count4487 the dust6083 of Jacob3290, and the number4557 of the fourth7255 {part} of Israel3478? Let me die4191-5315 the death4194 of the righteous3477, and let my last0319 end be like his!
23:11 And Balak1111 said0559 unto Balaam1109, What hast thou done6213 unto me? I took3947 thee to curse6895 mine enemies0341, and, behold, thou hast blessed1288 {them} altogether1288.
23:12 And he answered6030 and said0559, Must I not take heed8104 to speak1696 that which the LORD3068 hath put7760 in my mouth6310?
23:13 And Balak1111 said0559 unto him, Come3212, I pray thee, with me unto another0312 place4725, from whence thou mayest see7200 them: thou shalt see7200 but0657 the utmost7097 part of them, and shalt not see7200 them all: and curse6895 me them from thence.
23:14 And he brought3947 him into the field7704 of Zophim6839-6822, to the top7218 of Pisgah6449, and built1129 seven7651 altars4196, and offered5927 a bullock6499 and a ram0352 on {every} altar4196.
23:15 And he said0559 unto Balak1111, Stand3320 here3541 by thy burnt offering5930, while I meet7136 {the LORD} yonder3541.
23:16 And the LORD3068 met7136 Balaam1109, and put7760 a word1697 in his mouth6310, and said0559, Go again7725 unto Balak1111, and say1696 thus.
23:17 And when he came0935 to him, behold, he stood5324 by his burnt offering5930, and the princes8269 of Moab4124 with him. And Balak1111 said0559 unto him, What hath the LORD3068 spoken1696?
23:18 And he took up5375 his parable4912, and said0559, Rise up6965, Balak1111, and hear8085; hearken0238 unto me, thou son1121 of Zippor6834:
23:19 God0410 {is} not a man0376, that he should lie3576; neither the son1121 of man0120, that he should repent5162: hath he said0559, and shall he not do6213 {it}? or hath he spoken1696, and shall he not make it good6965?
23:20 Behold, I have received3947 {commandment} to bless1288: and he hath blessed1288; and I cannot reverse7725 it.
23:21 He hath not beheld5027 iniquity0205 in Jacob3290, neither hath he seen7200 perverseness5999 in Israel3478: the LORD3068 his God0430 {is} with him, and the shout8643 of a king4428 {is} among them.
23:22 God0410 brought them out3318 of Egypt4714; he hath as it were the strength8443 of an unicorn7214.
23:23 Surely {there is} no enchantment5173 against Jacob3290, neither {is there} any divination7081 against Israel3478: according to this time6256 it shall be said0559 of Jacob3290 and of Israel3478, What hath God0410 wrought6466!
23:24 Behold, the people5971 shall rise up6965 as a great lion3833, and lift up5375 himself as a young lion0738: he shall not lie down7901 until he eat0398 {of} the prey2964, and drink8354 the blood1818 of the slain2491.
23:25 And Balak1111 said0559 unto Balaam1109, Neither curse5344 them at all6895, nor bless1288 them at all1288.
23:26 But Balaam1109 answered6030 and said0559 unto Balak1111, Told1696 not I thee, saying0559, All that the LORD3068 speaketh1696, that I must do6213?
23:27 And Balak1111 said0559 unto Balaam1109, Come3212, I pray thee, I will bring3947 thee unto another0312 place4725; peradventure it will please3474-5869 God0430 that thou mayest curse6895 me them from thence.
23:28 And Balak1111 brought3947 Balaam1109 unto the top7218 of Peor6465, that looketh8259 toward6440 Jeshimon3452.
23:29 And Balaam1109 said0559 unto Balak1111, Build1129 me here seven7651 altars4196, and prepare3559 me here seven7651 bullocks6499 and seven7651 rams0352.
23:30 And Balak1111 did6213 as Balaam1109 had said0559, and offered5927 a bullock6499 and a ram0352 on {every} altar4196.
