and ye shall give5414 {also} unto the Levites3881 suburbs4054 for the cities5892 round about5439 them. 35:3 And the cities5892 shall they have to dwell in3427; and the suburbs4054 of them shall be for their cattle0929, and for their goods7399, and for all their beasts2416. 35:4 And the suburbs4054 of the cities5892, which ye shall give5414 unto the Levites3881, {shall reach} from the wall7023 of the city5892 and outward2351 a thousand0505 cubits0520 round about5439. 35:5 And ye shall measure4058 from without2351 the city5892 on the east6924 side6285 two thousand0505 cubits0520, and on the south5045 side6285 two thousand0505 cubits0520, and on the west3220 side6285 two thousand0505 cubits0520, and on the north6828 side6285 two thousand0505 cubits0520; 35:11 Then ye shall appoint7136 you cities5892 to be cities5892 of refuge4733 for you; that the slayer7523 may flee5127 thither, which killeth5221 any person5315 at unawares7684. 35:12 And they shall be unto you cities5892 for refuge4733 from the avenger1350; that the manslayer7523 die4191 not, until he stand5975 before6440 the congregation5712 in judgment4941. 35:13 And of these cities5892 which ye shall give5414 six8337 cities5892 shall ye have for refuge4733. 35:14 Ye shall give5414 three7969 cities5892 on this side5676 Jordan3383, and three7969 cities5892 shall ye give5414 in the land0776 of Canaan3667, {which} shall be cities5892 of refuge4733. 35:15 These six8337 cities5892 shall be a refuge4733, {both} for the children1121 of Israel3478, and for the stranger1616, and for the sojourner8453 among8432 them: that every one that killeth5221 any person5315 unawares7684 may flee5127 thither. 35:16 And if he smite5221 him with an instrument3627 of iron1270, so that he die4191, he {is} a murderer7523: the murderer7523 shall surely4191 be put to death4191. 35:17 And if he smite5221 him with throwing3027 a stone0068, wherewith he may die4191, and he die4191, he {is} a murderer7523: the murderer7523 shall surely4191 be put to death4191. 35:18 Or {if} he smite5221 him with an hand3027 weapon3627 of wood6086, wherewith he may die4191, and he die4191, he {is} a murderer7523: the murderer7523 shall surely4191 be put to death4191. 35:19 The revenger1350 of blood1818 himself shall slay4191 the murderer7523: when he meeteth6293 him, he1931 shall slay4191 him. 35:20 But if he thrust1920 him of hatred8135, or hurl7993 at him by laying of wait6660, that he die4191; 35:21 Or in enmity0342 smite5221 him with his hand3027, that he die4191: he that smote5221 {him} shall surely4191 be put to death4191; {for} he {is} a murderer7523: the revenger1350 of blood1818 shall slay4191 the murderer7523, when he meeteth6293 him. 35:22 But if he thrust1920 him suddenly6621 without3808 enmity0342, or have cast7993 upon him any thing3627 without laying of wait6660, 35:23 Or with any stone0068, wherewith a man may die4191, seeing7200 {him} not3808, and cast5307 {it} upon him, that he die4191, and {was} not his enemy0341, neither sought1245 his harm7451: 35:24 Then the congregation5712 shall judge8199 between the slayer5221 and the revenger1350 of blood1818 according to these judgments4941: 35:25 And the congregation5712 shall deliver5337 the slayer7523 out of the hand3027 of the revenger1350 of blood1818, and the congregation5712 shall restore7725 him to the city5892 of his refuge4733, whither he was fled5127: and he shall abide3427 in it unto the death4194 of the high1419 priest3548, which was anointed4886 with the holy6944 oil8081. 35:26 But if the slayer7523 shall at any time3318 come3318 without the border1366 of the city5892 of his refuge4733, whither he was fled5127; 35:27 And the revenger1350 of blood1818 find4672 him without2351 the borders1366 of the city5892 of his refuge4733, and the revenger1350 of blood1818 kill7523 the slayer7523; he shall not be guilty of blood1818: 35:28 Because he should have remained3427 in the city5892 of his refuge4733 until the death4194 of the high1419 priest3548: but after0310 the death4194 of the high1419 priest3548 the slayer7523 shall return7725 into the land0776 of his possession0272. 35:29 So these {things} shall be for a statute2708 of judgment4941 unto you throughout your generations1755 in all your dwellings4186. 35:30 Whoso killeth5221 any person5315, the murderer7523 shall be put to death7523 by the mouth6310 of witnesses5707: but one0259 witness5707 shall not testify6030 against any person5315 {to cause him} to die4191. 35:31 Moreover ye shall take3947 no satisfaction3724 for the life5315 of a murderer7523, which {is} guilty7563 of death4191: but he shall be surely4191 put to death4191. 35:32 And ye shall take3947 no satisfaction3724 for him that is fled5127 to the city5892 of his refuge4733, that he should come again7725 to dwell3427 in the land0776, until the death4194 of the priest3548. 35:33 So ye shall not pollute2610 the land0776 wherein ye {are}: for blood1818 it defileth2610 the land0776: and the land0776 cannot be cleansed3722 of the blood1818 that is shed8210 therein, but by the blood1818 of him that shed8210 it. 35:34 Defile2930 not therefore the land0776 which ye shall inhabit3427, wherein8432 I dwell7931: for I the LORD3068 dwell7931 among8432 the children1121 of Israel3478.
