「出现，显现」，特别指「荣耀的显现」，譬如指富有之城巴比伦。作宗教术语：指一位隐藏的神之可见的彰显，或以人的样子显现，或藉大能作为表明祂的存在。新约中仅用以指基督显现在世上。

一、指基督为审判降临：提前6:14 提后4:1,8 。ἐ. τ. δόξης荣耀显现，多2:13 。ἐ. τῆς παρουσίας 帖后2:8 是重复语，因为两个字有同样意思：祂再来的显现。

二、指耶稣在地上第一次的显现：提后1:10 。*
