在新约中，仅有关身（和被动）λυτρόομαι，1 不定式关身ἐλυτρωσάμην，命令λύτρωσαι；1不定式被ἐλυτρώθην。

一、因付赎金而使他「得著自由，救赎」。喻意：被动，ἀργυρίῳ ἢ χρυσίῳ λυτρωθῆναι ἐκ τῆς ματαίας ἀναστροφῆς 得赎脱掉虚妄的行为，不是凭著金银等物，彼前1:18 。
