35:1 {A Psalm} of David1732. Plead7378 {my cause}, O LORD3068, with them that strive3401 with me: fight3898 against them that fight3898 against me.
35:2 Take hold2388 of shield4043 and buckler6793, and stand up6965 for mine help5833.
35:3 Draw out7324 also the spear2595, and stop5462 {the way} against7125 them that persecute7291 me: say0559 unto my soul5315, I {am} thy salvation3444.
35:4 Let them be confounded0954 and put to shame3637 that seek1245 after my soul5315: let them be turned5472 back0268 and brought to confusion2659 that devise2803 my hurt7451.
35:5 Let them be as chaff4671 before6440 the wind7307: and let the angel4397 of the LORD3068 chase1760 {them}.
35:6 Let their way1870 be dark2822 and slippery2519: and let the angel4397 of the LORD3068 persecute7291 them.
35:7 For without cause2600 have they hid2934 for me their net7568 {in} a pit7845, {which} without cause2600 they have digged2658 for my soul5315.
35:8 Let destruction7722 come0935 upon him at unawares3045-3808; and let his net7568 that he hath hid2934 catch3920 himself: into that very destruction7722 let him fall5307.
