12:1 Seven7651 years8141 old1121 {was} Jehoash3060 when he began to reign4427.
12:2 In the seventh7651 year8141 of Jehu3058 Jehoash3060 began to reign4427; and forty0705 years8141 reigned4427 he in Jerusalem3389. And his mother's0517 name8034 {was} Zibiah6645 of Beersheba0884.
12:3 And Jehoash3060 did6213 {that which was} right3477 in the sight5869 of the LORD3068 all his days3117 wherein Jehoiada3077 the priest3548 instructed3384 him.
12:4 But the high places1116 were not taken away5493: the people5971 still sacrificed2076 and burnt incense6999 in the high places1116.
12:5 And Jehoash3060 said0559 to the priests3548, All the money3701 of the dedicated things6944 that is brought0935 into the house1004 of the LORD3068, {even} the money3701 of every one0376 that passeth5674 {the account}, the money3701 that every man5315 is set at6187, {and} all the money3701 that cometh5927 into any man's0376 heart3820 to bring0935 into the house1004 of the LORD3068,
12:6 Let the priests3548 take3947 {it} to them, every man0376 of his acquaintance4378: and let them repair2388 the breaches0919 of the house1004, wheresoever any breach0919 shall be found4672.
12:7 But it was {so, that} in the three7969-8141 and twentieth6242 year8141 of king4428 Jehoash3060 the priests3548 had not repaired2388 the breaches0919 of the house1004.
12:8 Then king4428 Jehoash3060 called7121 for Jehoiada3077 the priest3548, and the {other} priests3548, and said0559 unto them, Why repair2388 ye not the breaches0919 of the house1004? now therefore receive3947 no {more} money3701 of your acquaintance4378, but deliver5414 it for the breaches0919 of the house1004.
12:9 And the priests3548 consented0225 to receive3947 no1115 {more} money3701 of the people5971, neither1115 to repair2388 the breaches0919 of the house1004.
12:10 But Jehoiada3077 the priest3548 took3947 a0259 chest0727, and bored5344 a hole2356 in the lid1817 of it, and set5414 it beside0681 the altar4196, on the right side3225 as one0376 cometh0935 into the house1004 of the LORD3068: and the priests3548 that kept8104 the door5592 put5414 therein all the money3701 {that was} brought0935 into the house1004 of the LORD3068.

12:14 Howbeit there were not made6213 for the house1004 of the LORD3068 bowls5592 of silver3701, snuffers4212, basons4219, trumpets2689, any vessels3627 of gold2091, or vessels3627 of silver3701, of the money3701 {that was} brought0935 into the house1004 of the LORD3068:
12:15 But they gave5414 that to the workmen4399-6213, and repaired2388 therewith the house1004 of the LORD3068.
12:16 Moreover they reckoned2803 not with the men0582, into whose hand3027 they delivered5414 the money3701 to be bestowed5414 on workmen4399: for they dealt6213 faithfully0530.
12:17 The trespass0817 money3701 and sin2403 money3701 was not brought0935 into the house1004 of the LORD3068: it was the priests'3548.
12:18 Then Hazael2371 king4428 of Syria0758 went up5927, and fought3898 against Gath1661, and took3920 it: and Hazael2371 set7760 his face6440 to go up5927 to Jerusalem3389.
