8:1 Now1161 as touching4012 things offered unto idols1494, we know1492 that3754 we all3956 have2192 knowledge1108. Knowledge1108 puffeth up5448, but1161 charity0026 edifieth3618.
8:2 And1161 if any man1536 think1380 that he knoweth1492 any thing5100, he knoweth1097 nothing3762 yet3764 as2531 he ought1163 to know1097.
8:3 But1161 if any man1536 love0025 God2316, the same3778 is known1097 of5259 him0846.
8:4 As concerning4012 therefore3767 the eating1035 of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols1494, we know1492 that3754 an idol1497 {is} nothing3762 in1722 the world2889, and2532 that3754 {there is} none3762 other2087 God2316 but1508 one1520.
8:5 For1063 though1512-2532 there be1526 that are called3004 gods2316, whether1535 in1722 heaven3772 or1535 in1909 earth1093, (as5618 there be1526 gods2316 many4183, and2532 lords2962 many4183,)
8:6 But0235 to us2254 {there is but} one1520 God2316, the Father3962, of1537 whom3739 {are} all things3956, and2532 we2249 in1519 him0846; and2532 one1520 Lord2962 Jesus2424 Christ5547, by1223 whom3739 {are} all things3956, and2532 we2249 by1223 him0846.
8:7 Howbeit0235 {there is} not3756 in1722 every man3956 that knowledge1108: for1161 some5100 with conscience4893 of the idol1497 unto2193 this hour0737 eat2068 {it} as5613 a thing offered unto an idol1494; and2532 their0846 conscience4893 being5607 weak0772 is defiled3435.
8:8 But1161 meat1033 commendeth3936 us2248 not3756 to God2316: for1063 neither3777, if1437 we eat5315, are we the better4052; neither3777, if3362 we eat5315 not3362, are we the worse5302.
8:9 But1161 take heed0991 lest3381 by any means4458 this3778 liberty1849 of yours5216 become1096 a stumblingblock4348 to them that are weak0770.
8:10 For1063 if1437 any man5100 see1492 thee4571 which3588 hast2192 knowledge1108 sit at meat2621 in1722 the idol's temple1493, shall3618 not3780 the conscience4893 of him0846 which is5607 weak0772 be emboldened3618-1519 to eat2068 those things which are offered to idols1494;
