9:1 And David1732 said0559, Is there yet3426 any that is left3498 of the house1004 of Saul7586, that I may shew6213 him kindness2617 for Jonathan's3083 sake?
9:2 And {there was} of the house1004 of Saul7586 a servant5650 whose name8034 {was} Ziba6717. And when they had called7121 him unto David1732, the king4428 said0559 unto him, {Art} thou Ziba6717? And he said0559, Thy servant5650 {is he}.
9:3 And the king4428 said0559, {Is} there not0657 yet any0376 of the house1004 of Saul7586, that I may shew6213 the kindness2617 of God0430 unto him? And Ziba6717 said0559 unto the king4428, Jonathan3083 hath yet a son1121, {which is} lame5223 on {his} feet7272.
9:4 And the king4428 said0559 unto him, Where0375 {is} he? And Ziba6717 said0559 unto the king4428, Behold, he {is} in the house1004 of Machir4353, the son1121 of Ammiel5988, in Lodebar3810.
9:5 Then king4428 David1732 sent7971, and fetched3947 him out of the house1004 of Machir4353, the son1121 of Ammiel5988, from Lodebar3810.
9:6 Now when Mephibosheth4648, the son1121 of Jonathan3083, the son1121 of Saul7586, was come0935 unto David1732, he fell5307 on his face6440, and did reverence7812. And David1732 said0559, Mephibosheth4648. And he answered0559, Behold thy servant5650!
9:7 And David1732 said0559 unto him, Fear3372 not: for I will surely6213 shew6213 thee kindness2617 for Jonathan3083 thy father's0001 sake, and will restore7725 thee all the land7704 of Saul7586 thy father0001; and thou shalt eat0398 bread3899 at my table7979 continually8548.
9:8 And he bowed7812 himself, and said0559, What {is} thy servant5650, that thou shouldest look6437 upon such a dead4191 dog3611 as I {am}?
9:9 Then the king4428 called7121 to Ziba6717, Saul's7586 servant5288, and said0559 unto him, I have given5414 unto thy master's0113 son1121 all that pertained1961 to Saul7586 and to all his house1004.
9:10 Thou therefore, and thy sons1121, and thy servants5650, shall till5647 the land0127 for him, and thou shalt bring0935 in {the fruits}, that thy master's0113 son1121 may have food3899 to eat0398: but Mephibosheth4648 thy master's0113 son1121 shall eat0398 bread3899 alway8548 at my table7979. Now Ziba6717 had fifteen2568-6240 sons1121 and twenty6242 servants5650.
9:11 Then said0559 Ziba6717 unto the king4428, According to all that my lord0113 the king4428 hath commanded6680 his servant5650, so shall thy servant5650 do6213. As for Mephibosheth4648, {said the king}, he shall eat0398 at my table7979, as one0259 of the king's4428 sons1121.
9:12 And Mephibosheth4648 had a young6996 son1121, whose name8034 {was} Micha4316. And all that dwelt4186 in the house1004 of Ziba6717 {were} servants5650 unto Mephibosheth4648.
9:13 So Mephibosheth4648 dwelt3427 in Jerusalem3389: for he did eat0398 continually8548 at the king's4428 table7979; and was lame6455 on both8147 his feet7272.
