15:1 And {David} made6213 him houses1004 in the city5892 of David1732, and prepared3559 a place4725 for the ark0727 of God0430, and pitched5186 for it a tent0168.
15:2 Then David1732 said0559, None ought to carry5375 the ark0727 of God0430 but the Levites3881: for them hath the LORD3068 chosen0977 to carry5375 the ark0727 of God0430, and to minister8334 unto him for5704 ever5769.
15:3 And David1732 gathered6950 all Israel3478 together6950 to Jerusalem3389, to bring up5927 the ark0727 of the LORD3068 unto his place4725, which he had prepared3559 for it.
15:4 And David1732 assembled0622 the children1121 of Aaron0175, and the Levites3881:

15:13 For because ye {did it} not at the first7223, the LORD3068 our God0430 made a breach6555 upon us, for that we sought1875 him not after the due order4941.
15:14 So the priests3548 and the Levites3881 sanctified6942 themselves to bring up5927 the ark0727 of the LORD3068 God0430 of Israel3478.
15:15 And the children1121 of the Levites3881 bare5375 the ark0727 of God0430 upon their shoulders3802 with the staves4133 thereon, as Moses4872 commanded6680 according to the word1697 of the LORD3068.

15:17 So the Levites3881 appointed5975 Heman1968 the son1121 of Joel3100; and of his brethren0251, Asaph0623 the son1121 of Berechiah1296; and of the sons1121 of Merari4847 their brethren0251, Ethan0387 the son1121 of Kushaiah6984;
15:18 And with them their brethren0251 of the second4932 {degree}, Zechariah2148, Ben1122, and Jaaziel3268, and Shemiramoth8070, and Jehiel3171, and Unni6042, Eliab0446, and Benaiah1141, and Maaseiah4641, and Mattithiah4993, and Elipheleh0466, and Mikneiah4737, and Obededom5654, and Jeiel3273, the porters7778.
15:19 So the singers7891, Heman1968, Asaph0623, and Ethan0387, {were appointed} to sound8085 with cymbals4700 of brass5178;
15:20 And Zechariah2148, and Aziel5815, and Shemiramoth8070, and Jehiel3171, and Unni6042, and Eliab0446, and Maaseiah4641, and Benaiah1141, with psalteries5035 on Alamoth5961;
15:21 And Mattithiah4993, and Elipheleh0466, and Mikneiah4737, and Obededom5654, and Jeiel3273, and Azaziah5812, with harps3658 on the Sheminith8067 to excel5329.
15:22 And Chenaniah3663, chief8269 of the Levites3881, {was} for song4853: he instructed3256 about the song4853, because he {was} skilful0995.
15:23 And Berechiah1296 and Elkanah0511 {were} doorkeepers7778 for the ark0727.
15:24 And Shebaniah7645, and Jehoshaphat3146, and Nethaneel5417, and Amasai6022, and Zechariah2148, and Benaiah1141, and Eliezer0461, the priests3548, did blow2690-2690 with the trumpets2689 before6440 the ark0727 of God0430: and Obededom5654 and Jehiah3174 {were} doorkeepers7778 for the ark0727.
15:25 So David1732, and the elders2205 of Israel3478, and the captains8269 over thousands0505, went1980 to bring up5927 the ark0727 of the covenant1285 of the LORD3068 out of the house1004 of Obededom5654 with joy8057.
15:26 And it came to pass, when God0430 helped5826 the Levites3881 that bare5375 the ark0727 of the covenant1285 of the LORD3068, that they offered2076 seven7651 bullocks6499 and seven7651 rams0352.
15:27 And David1732 {was} clothed3736 with a robe4598 of fine linen0948, and all the Levites3881 that bare5375 the ark0727, and the singers7891, and Chenaniah3663 the master8269 of the song4853 with the singers7891: David1732 also {had} upon him an ephod0646 of linen0906.
