14:1 Now Hiram2438-2361 king4428 of Tyre6865 sent7971 messengers4397 to David1732, and timber6086 of cedars0730, with masons7023 and carpenters2796, to build1129 him an house1004.
14:2 And David1732 perceived3045 that the LORD3068 had confirmed3559 him king4428 over Israel3478, for his kingdom4438 was lifted up5375 on high4605, because of his people5971 Israel3478.
14:3 And David1732 took3947 more wives0802 at Jerusalem3389: and David1732 begat3205 more sons1121 and daughters1323.
14:4 Now these {are} the names8034 of {his} children3205 which he had in Jerusalem3389; Shammua8051, and Shobab7727, Nathan5416, and Solomon8010,

14:14 Therefore David1732 enquired7592 again of God0430; and God0430 said0559 unto him, Go not up5927 after0310 them; turn away5437 from them, and come0935 upon them over against4136 the mulberry trees1057.
14:15 And it shall be, when thou shalt hear8085 a sound6963 of going6807 in the tops7218 of the mulberry trees1057, {that} then thou shalt go out3318 to battle4421: for God0430 is gone forth3318 before6440 thee to smite5221 the host4264 of the Philistines6430.
14:16 David1732 therefore did6213 as God0430 commanded6680 him: and they smote5221 the host4264 of the Philistines6430 from Gibeon1391 even to Gazer1507.
14:17 And the fame8034 of David1732 went out3318 into all lands0776; and the LORD3068 brought5414 the fear6343 of him upon all nations1471.
