一、字義：「旅程，旅行」。πορείαν ποιεῖοθαι εἰς Ἱεροσόλυμα往耶路撒冷去，路13:22 。大部分人也認為雅1:11 亦屬此類：ὁ πλούσιος ἐν ταῖς πορείαις αὐτοῦ 富足的人在他的（商務）「旅行」，或更廣義之所行的事上。複數：強烈顯示這樣的解釋是正確的。但由於複數可能和8節ἐν ταῖς ὁδοῖς αὐτοῦ在他所行的路上，二者相平行，因此我們不排除下列之意義。
