12:2 And Jephthah3316 said0559 unto them, I and my people5971 were1961 at great3966 strife0376-7379 with the children1121 of Ammon5983; and when I called2199 you, ye delivered3467 me not out of their hands3027.
12:3 And when I saw7200 that ye delivered3467 {me} not, I put7760 my life5315 in my hands3709, and passed over5674 against the children1121 of Ammon5983, and the LORD3068 delivered5414 them into my hand3027: wherefore then are ye come up5927 unto me this day3117, to fight3898 against me?

12:5 And the Gileadites1568 took3920 the passages4569 of Jordan3383 before the Ephraimites0669: and it was {so}, that when those Ephraimites0669 which were escaped6412 said0559, Let me go over5674; that the men0582 of Gilead1568 said0559 unto him, {Art} thou an Ephraimite0673? If he said0559, Nay;
12:6 Then said0559 they unto him, Say0559 now Shibboleth7641: and he said0559 Sibboleth5451: for he could not frame3559 to pronounce1696 {it} right3559.
