17:1 And the LORD3068 spake1696 unto Moses4872, saying0559,
17:2 Speak1696 unto the children1121 of Israel3478, and take3947 of every one of them a rod4294-4294 according to the house1004 of {their} fathers0001, of all their princes5387 according to the house1004 of their fathers0001 twelve8147-6240 rods4294: write3789 thou every man's0376 name8034 upon his rod4294.
17:3 And thou shalt write3789 Aaron's0175 name8034 upon the rod4294 of Levi3878: for one0259 rod4294 {shall be} for the head7218 of the house1004 of their fathers0001.
17:4 And thou shalt lay them up3240 in the tabernacle0168 of the congregation4150 before6440 the testimony5715, where I will meet3259 with you.
17:5 And it shall come to pass, {that} the man's0376 rod4294, whom I shall choose0977, shall blossom6524: and I will make to cease7918 from me the murmurings8519 of the children1121 of Israel3478, whereby they murmur3885 against you.
17:6 And Moses4872 spake1696 unto the children1121 of Israel3478, and every one of their princes5387 gave5414 him a rod4294-4294 apiece, for each prince5387-5387 one0259-0259, according to their fathers'0001 houses1004, {even} twelve6240-8147 rods4294: and the rod4294 of Aaron0175 {was} among8432 their rods4294.
17:7 And Moses4872 laid up3240 the rods4294 before6440 the LORD3068 in the tabernacle0168 of witness5715.
17:8 And it came to pass, that on the morrow4283 Moses4872 went0935 into the tabernacle0168 of witness5715; and, behold, the rod4294 of Aaron0175 for the house1004 of Levi3878 was budded6524, and brought forth3318 buds6525, and bloomed6692 blossoms6731, and yielded1580 almonds8247.
17:9 And Moses4872 brought out3318 all the rods4294 from before6440 the LORD3068 unto all the children1121 of Israel3478: and they looked7200, and took3947 every man0376 his rod4294.
17:10 And the LORD3068 said0559 unto Moses4872, Bring7725 Aaron's0175 rod4294 again7725 before6440 the testimony5715, to be kept4931 for a token0226 against the rebels4805-1121; and thou shalt quite take away3615 their murmurings8519 from me, that they die4191 not.
17:11 And Moses4872 did6213 {so}: as the LORD3068 commanded6680 him, so did6213 he.
17:12 And the children1121 of Israel3478 spake0559 unto Moses4872, saying0559, Behold, we die1478, we perish0006, we all perish0006.
17:13 Whosoever cometh any thing near7131 unto the tabernacle4908 of the LORD3068 shall die4191: shall we be consumed8552 with dying1478?
