14:1 And these {are the countries} which the children1121 of Israel3478 inherited5157 in the land0776 of Canaan3667, which Eleazar0499 the priest3548, and Joshua3091 the son1121 of Nun5126, and the heads7218 of the fathers0001 of the tribes4294 of the children1121 of Israel3478, distributed for inheritance5157 to them.
14:2 By lot1486 {was} their inheritance5159, as the LORD3068 commanded6680 by the hand3027 of Moses4872, for the nine8672 tribes4294, and {for} the half2677 tribe4294.
14:3 For Moses4872 had given5414 the inheritance5159 of two8147 tribes4294 and an half2677 tribe4294 on the other side5676 Jordan3383: but unto the Levites3881 he gave5414 none inheritance5159 among8432 them.
14:4 For the children1121 of Joseph3130 were two8147 tribes4294, Manasseh4519 and Ephraim0669: therefore they gave5414 no part2506 unto the Levites3881 in the land0776, save cities5892 to dwell3427 {in}, with their suburbs4054 for their cattle4735 and for their substance7075.

14:7 Forty0705 years8141 old1121 {was} I when Moses4872 the servant5650 of the LORD3068 sent7971 me from Kadeshbarnea6947 to espy out7270 the land0776; and I brought7725 him word1697 again7725 as {it was} in mine heart3824.
14:8 Nevertheless my brethren0251 that went up5927 with me made the heart3820 of the people5971 melt4529: but I wholly4390 followed0310 the LORD3068 my God0430.
14:9 And Moses4872 sware7650 on that day3117, saying0559, Surely the land0776 whereon thy feet7272 have trodden1869 shall be thine inheritance5159, and thy children's1121 for5704 ever5769, because thou hast wholly4390 followed0310 the LORD3068 my God0430.
14:10 And now, behold, the LORD3068 hath kept me alive2421, as he said1696, these forty0705 and five2568 years8141, even since0227 the LORD3068 spake1696 this word1697 unto Moses4872, while {the children of} Israel3478 wandered1980 in the wilderness4057: and now, lo, I {am} this day3117 fourscore8084 and five2568 years8141 old1121.
14:11 As yet I {am as} strong2389 this day3117 as {I was} in the day3117 that Moses4872 sent7971 me: as my strength3581 {was} then, even so {is} my strength3581 now, for war4421, both to go out3318, and to come in0935.
14:12 Now therefore give5414 me this mountain2022, whereof the LORD3068 spake1696 in that day3117; for thou heardest8085 in that day3117 how the Anakims6062 {were} there, and {that} the cities5892 {were} great1419 {and} fenced1219: if so be0194 the LORD3068 {will be} with0854 me, then I shall be able to drive them out3423, as the LORD3068 said1696.
14:13 And Joshua3091 blessed1288 him, and gave5414 unto Caleb3612 the son1121 of Jephunneh3312 Hebron2275 for an inheritance5159.
14:14 Hebron2275 therefore became the inheritance5159 of Caleb3612 the son1121 of Jephunneh3312 the Kenezite7074 unto this day3117, because that he wholly4390 followed0310 the LORD3068 God0430 of Israel3478.
14:15 And the name8034 of Hebron2275 before6440 {was} Kirjatharba7153; {which Arba was} a great1419 man0120 among the Anakims6062. And the land0776 had rest8252 from war4421.
