1:3 To receive3947 the instruction4148 of wisdom7919, justice6664, and judgment4941, and equity4339;
1:4 To give5414 subtilty6195 to the simple6612, to the young man5288 knowledge1847 and discretion4209.
1:5 A wise2450 {man} will hear8085, and will increase3254 learning3948; and a man of understanding0995 shall attain7069 unto wise counsels8458:
1:6 To understand0995 a proverb4912, and the interpretation4426; the words1697 of the wise2450, and their dark sayings2420.
1:7 The fear3374 of the LORD3068 {is} the beginning7225 of knowledge1847: {but} fools0191 despise0936 wisdom2451 and instruction4148.

1:25 But ye have set at nought6544 all my counsel6098, and would0014 none of my reproof8433:
1:26 I also will laugh7832 at your calamity0343; I will mock3932 when your fear6343 cometh0935;
